Sooooooo, I'm getting a new car, and the only cars my parents can agree on are the Nissan Versa, Honda Insight, Mitsubishi Evo, and Ford Fusion Hybrid.

And out of all those, the only car I'm really leaning towards is the Insight. What do you guys think about it? Any comments? I have yet to test one, but i just like it most. It's got that sweet eco button that basically makes driving a game haha.

you mean Lancer or Evo ? because the evo costs alot more than the rest of those... anywho I wouldn't mind a mini cooper s if you can drive stick. Out of your options though, I would go with the Insight.

Lol
My friend's friend's dad gave him $60,000 to get a new car and he bought an Insight. I think he had a modded RX-7 before.
So it must be pretty good.

i hope it's good! the gas mileage for it as a hybrid is pretty shot, but i think it'd be a sweet car haha.

priuses are practically sold out in the state of washington. all hybrids get a tax rebate as well as a tax exemption. the prius is the most popular hybrid car in washington sleep.gif

trust me, i'd die for a prius with the new solar panel upgrade.

You should also consider the Civic Hybrid too.

If my civic lx can get 435 miles out of a tank, I'm sure the Hybrid will do much better. I've heard people getting 64+ mpg on the hybrid and reaching 700 miles before going to the gas station.

I would have to make a assumption here, because i've driven the new generation Prius. Generally i've been playing around with lots of economic cars and in generally, I prefer Honda over Toyota. I've driven the previous generation Prius (04-09) many times and its a good car, but it doesn't handle that well and it feels cheap. Now in comparison to a Honda Fit which is the lowest end car from Honda, the Honda Fit drives better, feels better on the freeway, and has a feel of a higher quality interior than the Prius. I know these two models are not really comparable, but hearing that the Insight feels like its between a Honda Fit and Honda Civic leads me to think that the Insight is going to be a more well rounded car than the Prius.

Now I haven't gotten my hands one a new 2010 Prius, but if I do i'll be sure write a review. Same goes for a Honda Insight. Check my signature links for some reviews i've done in the past.

the new prius is probably the worst prius out there. i don't see any improvements. i don't see why they game out with them at all. it's the same thing but worse. i feel as if the insight is just well-rounded.

the new prius actually gets better mpg and has more power (20%) and can go faster (not that it really matters haha) and has better handling..according to test drive on speed channel

NOT AT ALL!! it feels like it's gonna tip over when you drive it. it gets a slightly better average, but with a conservative driver like me, that's not a huge concern. i hate the new prius.

haha not sure i wanna get the evo at all. it was an option that my dad pushed on me. i'm sure he wants me to get it because he knows its a good excuse to buy a car that he'd want. if i get the evo, it will have no special attachments

if you really want it, go for it
it gets almost the same mileage as a prius and is cheaper and not too bad looking

you sure you drove the new prius? the redesigned one? cuz it has 24 more hp. and get a combined milage of 50 mpg compared to the previous gen 46mpg. rear disc brakes, bigger displacement engine. it also surpasses the honda insight's mpg.

but hey guess the prius aint for everone hahaha

i'd get one but i want my car to be manual.. biggrin.gif

Well out of the options you've provided I'd stick with the insight if your looking for fuel efficiency. I'd personally take the Lan-Evo, if my parents were offering.

i drove the prius 5, and to my knowledge it's the newest one. and i hated it. felt like crap. i like the 3 and the 4 WAY more. the insight feels so much more sturdy. i odn't know haha. i personally want a manual too. i'm getting sick of not being able to choose what gear i wanna use.

i'm not looking for fuel efficiency, i'm looking more at price range and what i would and wouldn't drive haha. i'm liking the evo but i'm a bit scared it's too close to the ground for seattle. there's tons of hills here.
