It doesn't look like most parents really care either, considering how people have been going behind their backs for years now.
It's not like they don't know.

My ex, on the otherhand, has a really strict father. I remember he was 20 when we began dating 2.5 yrs ago, and he had to be home by 10 because his dad didn't like him having a gf for the same reason my dad doesn't like me dating. It was very strange for me because he was the one that had all these rules to follow.

Same here. I know what's right for me more than anyone else possibly could.
I don't hide it if they ask me about it, because it doesn't really matter if they think its good for me or not.

I do have a brother who's 24 and hates the thought of us dating. He's always like he'll be the hawk in the sky whenever my sisters and I go clubbing with our friends or if even our male friends call us he'll question them. I'm 20 by the way and I've never had a boyfriend-not because of my brother being so protective or my parents...but I've just never dated.

Like mine .
ok so i had this conversation with my mom abt dating,
and it was pretty awkward [dont ask why]..
and so i asked if 16 was old enuff to date, and she said NUU, it was
still too young. i went so on, 17...18..Lol she turned it down.
she said 21 is when you can have a proper boyfriend or something ;]
& im a girl. but who cares, i've already dated in my middle school years
w/out letting her know.
DEN, my brother who's like 20 is always encouraged to get a girl
and blah blah.
but i can't get a guy? lol it's just how it is.
damn i ranted. my apologies much ;/

That's my mom for you..
She told me I can't date till I finish college and find myself a stable job.. then go study something else just incase.
I still date behind her back though.. well, only once.

♫ i remember when my heart broke,
always keep the faith and hope to the end.
