They call it bacon flavoured salt but its FAKE -- all it is is MSG

So they would probably NEVER buy that.

bacon's okay for me, but i'm not in love with it. my mom's a vegetarian so...lol. but she also says that it's SUPER fattening, so if she weren't a vegetarian, i doubt she'd eat it. basically our family's not really into bacon. at all. not super into american food except pizza.

ew! i don't like bacon flavored stuff. i like bacon by itself or in a cheeseburger, but other than that, it's gross. i remember trying salad dressing with bacon in it and it was absolutely disgusting.

Ah no. We don't eat very much bacon in my household.
In fact, when I buy bacon I have to freeze it and thaw each strip as I want it so that it doesn't go to waste. I'm the only one in my family who occasionally eats bacon with my breakfast. I love bacon, but just as a treat every once in awhile.

Sometimes my mum uses it to add flavour to other dishes.

But yes, I've seen the "mania." People who won't eat vegetables unless they're wrapped in bacon ... More bacon bits in their salad than salad. Baconnaise ? That's ... ew. Bacon salt sounds like way overkill too.

So no, not all Americans are going through this bacon mania, haha.
But there are always those people who don't understand "everything in moderation."

we seldom eat bacon in the household. but you know im surprised MSG isn't on there.
then again when i eat bacon i don't have any urges to eat more, instead i rather eat something else

I saw Bacon Salt on the Today show. They also make baconnaise, which is bacon mayonnaise O_O! And the salts come in different kinds of bacon flavors like smoked, honey, etc. I do love the occasional slab of bacon but not so much to sprinkle it on my food

My roommate's boyfriend enlightened me to the fact that Bacos, tiny bacon bits you put in salads, is actually made of soy! He's a vegetarian so he is able to eat it, it just has a bacon flavor. interesting stuff!
