do girls like getting proposed in a creative way like in the movies where the dude propose at dinner in front of everyone or does just proposing like saying do u want to marry me but nothing fancy and not infront of everyone?

dinner is a bit of an obvious, like sometimes a girl can work out whats gonna happen, ie depending on the place, what they are wearing if its out of the norm.

Well, every girl is different. o-o And I agree with the above statement! Sometimes a girl can expect what's going to happen! Like foreshadowing, y'know? Heheh! I would love it to be surprised and unexpecting, though! But that's just me of course~! And if it doesn't happen that way, it's okay too! I normally can figure out things really easily, so that may be hard, anyhow!

If I really loved the guy, however he proposes, I'd accept - that is, unless he does or say something really inappropriate in the lead up or in the context of the proposal.

Yeah, same here, actually. It doesn't always have to be a huge production, as long as it's sincere and not done in either of the following times:

when he's going off to iraq and is scared i'll hook up with someone while he's gone so he wants to tie me down.
when he's drunk on his birthday and we've only been dating for a few months.
when your mom is trying to arrange a marriage for you so the guy visiting us from vietnam can get a green card.

on a side note which is rather irrelevant but I thought was funny is that my bf just mentioned to me today that he dreamt that we were getting married last night! LOL ...i thought, what an unmanly thing to dream!

This is my dream proposal (kinda un-realistic, i know ^^):

French or Italian restaurent that is nice, waitor wears a tux. We would be dining alone because the guy called and asked the restaurant to close down early OR dining in an elegant separate room (would prefer the first though). Restaurant would be dark, with candle-light. He will wait until we are finished eating. We will both be dressed well (semi-formal-ish). He will do anything stupid, like putting the ring in the dessert, food, etc. It will be a large Tiffany's ring, very good quality. He will get on his knees, take the ring out, and say "Will you marry me? If you say yes, you'll make me the happiest and the luckiest man on Earth." I will say yes and we will live happily ever after.


There is other things, like, good timing (in our lives and relationship), he won't be drunk etc.
