Straight to the point:

There's an Ad that pops up suggesting we visit those websites. Sometimes it comes up with inappropriate images (thankfully not porn) and ways to make extreme money (THEY SCREAM SCAMSS!!!). Our pop up blocker is turned on, and we have antivirus and a firewall set up. My brother thinks it is a virus, but our antivirus software didn't detect anything after we ran a check after we saw one of these pop ups. What could this be? and how can we remove it?

p.s it always comes up when we are visiting totally different websites. for example I opened an internet window and wrote in soompi.com/forums and one popped up immediately. yesterday another one popped up while my dad was visiting espndeportes.com Here's an image:









The title always says AD HOSTED BY BIGNETDADDY.

I doubt it's a virus. I think its more of Spyware that's going on. I found something for you to look at:

It could be that because it explains what you just explained. Either way other technological savy people should confirm it. Good luck.

Spyware is the easiest malware to create... Good for business, business with dark side...
Only because the main target in the Windows brain (registry) is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Internet Explorer>Main and other keys surrounding it.

Get:

Update it and scan (quick scan). Delete all it has found and by then, get:

Scan and save log file and copy and paste the whole log and send it to me in PM.

I can guarantee you that you'll be out of the problem.
