My PC has a wireless router. I use my labtop that is right next to my PC .

When i use internet it goes from 54.0 mbps (the highest it goes) to limited connectivity (1.0 mbps) within SECONDS. So i can never use AIM, MSN messenger, YSI... any of the programs which needs good connectivity at all times... because my internet connection always fluctuates to low connectivities.

my connection never used to do this, but after someone used my computer last week, the connection is SCREWED UP!!! (i think he tried to make my internet "better" and then just messed it up :0( )

I use Intel Proset for my Wireless connection, and there is an option of turning the "hardware radio switch" on or off. when i turn it off and then on right afterwards, the connection is at full connectivity for barely a MINUTE. then.. it fluctates once more to 1.0 mbps, 5.5 mbps, 11.0 mbps.... all within seconds.

HOW CAN I MAKE MY INTERNET CONNECTION GOOD AT ALL TIMES!!!???????????
i understand that ALL wireless connections do not stay at high connectivity, but mine's so extreme that i cant browse a website for more than 30 seconds without "this page cannot be displayed" page coming up. (there are NO problems with the internet connection on the PC.. so i know my labtop has a problem.. not my PC or router)

can you use paint or something to draw out how your network is setup?

Im a bit confused on where it is all situated.
The first thing you want to do is make sure you are connecting to YOUR router. Connecting to your neighbor's router always gives bad reception >_<
