Should a nation consider nationalizing key industries? Or should these partnerships be avoided as injurious to an efficient free-market economy?
What do you think?

Russia nationalized it's industrial sector post USSR break up. Russia's industry is one of the industrial sectors that struggles most to compete in the modern economy. It's been proven in the US that government led programs (TSA) lag far behind private endeavors in efficiency, profit, and quality of products and service.
Nationalism of industrial sector is a very, very bad idea in my opinion, and not just because of the concept of free-market. There should be heavy government regulation on a "free" market in my opinion, a mixed market. Mixed Markets with government influence can help prevent idiocy like Enron and Haliburton, as well as the failures in the auto industry we see today. Because of bureaucracy and friendships between high ranking politicians and wealthy businessmen, we see very little government regulation where it's really needed. I suppose at least we have regulation of our food industry xD
