Imagine you drive a spanking brand new Hummer Extra Large Golden colour model and you are parking it and you accidentally bump the car in the next bay. That other car is a rusty old toyota hatchback corolla bucket of bolts. No hubcaps and the paint job is peeling.

You have smashed in the toyota's left front door and windows. Your hummer has a tiny scratch on one side. The driver of the toyota is nowhere to be seen and there are no toher witnesses except yourself.

Would you drive quietly away...

Or would you leave your phone number on the toyota's windshield?

If you have enough money to buy a hummer then you'll have enough money to pay for the damages. No you directly..but you know what I mean. I'd want to leave a number but I'd feel so bad because my parents pay for my insurance. If I were paying for my own insurance, I'd leave a number.
Ooh, life is good. ♥ :)

The law is the law. Also morals come into play regardless of how rich or poor you are. I mean think of how the poor fellow will have to deal with the mess? Maybe leave a few bucks in the car through the broken windshield? lol

I wouldn't drive a car I wouldn't be able to park in the first place. And when I imagine Hummer, I don't imagine driving quietly away. xD

But I would leave a number. The person who has that car probably isn't able to afford such repairs if they can't even afford to keep their car nice.

Reminds me what I found today. I have a brand new bumper on my car with fresh paint on it, barely two weeks old and someone already rammed it with their car. Left a small gouge in the middle of the bumper which I had to touch up paint. That was a $500 bumper too.

Does that person who hit my car leave a note? Nope, they just leave pretending nothing happened or they pretend like they don't care, because someone did the same to their bumper. Shows you how some people really are as people themselves (their personality and morals).

I'm not too wild over this stupid little gouge anyways, because the new bumper cost didn't come out of my pocket! Sucks that it would be damaged so quickly after replacement.

I also had one time, seen someone leave scrapes along the edge of my bumper trying to parallel park. So I touch up paint it. Less than a hour later coming back, someone hit the same area again. I look at the car behind me and find my touch up paint on its bumper and the driver of that car is sitting in his car.....

Classy. Just the other day I realized that someone hit my car. It explains why my headlight bracket is broken.

I accidentally scratched someone's car on New Years Eve trying to park, and so I took pictures of the damage with my cell phone, along with the license plate number so I could find the owner inside the building. The car looked brand spankin' new, too. But yeah, found the owner, he was nice about it to say that we could talk about it after the New Years Eve service (we were at church), and then he ended up going somewhere else before the whole thing was over, so I freaked out even more because I didn't have his number. Tracked him down through the pastor and voila. After a long lecture from my parents, 3+ hours of just parking practice with my dad and $350 later...

ANYWAY. It really sucks how people just drive away. The reason I tracked the person down was because if I were in his shoes, I'd be hella pissed. >:[

Sorry to hear what happened to your car, Clix & kelvin6.

So yeah, I'd put my number on his windshield.

Hi.

well idk if this is you but i would think that the driver of the hummer is a douchebag because not only does he drive a hummer, the ugliest and most useless / stupidest car in the world, but someone that can afford a car like that can't even be decent enough to stop and leave a number for something that's his/her fault.

^ LOL.
I don't think smashing in a door and a window is considered bumping it.
but yeah, I'd do it regardless.
I bumped this random camry while leaving the gym and I freaked out for like. 30 minutes cause my es330's paint was all over his back bumper.. my front bumper dented in though :/ wth?
and this guy driving a BMW x3 was like. don't worry about it, just leave it, it won't make a difference.
but I left a note regardless.. turns out it was my friend from middle school and he told me not to worry about it.. -phew.
It would have been a lot worse if I had tried to ditch.

I would just get back into my Hummer and keep crushing the Toyota until there's no more evidence of it left to be seen.

leave a note, no matter what you or the other person is driving.

my husband got a fresh coat of paint on his 1st gen '94 eclipse a week ago and some idiot freaking scratched the rear right side of it. its big too. no note at all. and like someone said earlier, the car is not exactly the nicest one and we cant afford to fix the paint up yet nor do we have the time as im working and going to school.

i'd hate it if somebody rammed into mine and leave like nothing happened much more do that to somebody else so i'd have to say (even if it's gonna take me months with my allowances and perhaps long talks/sermons with my parents) i'm gonna leave a note or so....
