I think this band definitely deserves their own thread. Hopefully it won't die. I think everyone needs to give these guys a listen.

Anyway, I can't remember the last time I heard an album where I loved every single track on it. Silversun Pickups has two albums out currently, Swoon and Carnavas, and I adore all songs on both.

A lot of people think the lead vocalist, Brian Aubert, sounds like a chick. For me personally, I see what they're saying but I just can't hear it anymore. XD I think his voice is sexy.
Their bassist is a girl, though, Nikki Monniger, and she does some backup vocals.

Lazy Eye (album: Carnavas) (this song was on Guitar Hero and Rock Band I believe, I love this song but I don't think it does them QUITE as much justice)

The Silversun pickups are amazing, I agree with the OP, they are one of the few bands who can make an album that you can listen to all the way through. totemo genki yo!

When I first heard Panic Switch, I did think it was a girl singing so I was pretty suprised to find out the lead singer is a guy after I looked them up. Their music is not bad.

A friend of mine kept asking me to go to a "sspu" concert this weekend with him.
I had no clue who they were. Thanks for the intro. I really like them so far.
.....too bad I can't see them this weekend. I'm going to a MUSE concert.

So they came back around (last show of the year), and OMFG. They were wicked awesome!! OMG. BEST SHOW EVAH! I lost some hearing for a while, but so worth it.

They're coming back in March. They'll be playing along with Muse. :]
