so im making mochi balls.

we use glutinous rice flour to make the balls but we need something to roll the balls in so that they dont become sticky anymore.

the recipe says we need to roll them in cornflour?

can i replace cornflour with self raising normal flour?

cos these balls are too sticky otherwise sad.gif

you don't use flour you use starch. i suppose you'd be able to use a different starch but i wouldn't recommend using flour...

For mochi, use potato starch, not flour. You should be able to find that in any Asian mart.
I suppose you could use corn starch as well though, but I believe mochi traditionally uses potato starch.
I made mochi a few weeks ago : )
