So, i bought a new laptop and it's a nice little Toshiba.
My old laptop is a Sony Veio. (the older one)
I also bought an external hardrive for just in case scenarios. (it's 500 gigs)
My uncle is super tech savvy so he's going to work with it when I send it to him.
Before I send it to him i have to transfer whatever files i want to keep onto my external hardrive which isn't a problem.
My problem is transfering every single song i have from Itunes to the hardrive. I have a folder with music in it that i can transfer but what about all of the other songs that i either uploaded from CDs or other places? Is there a way to
transfer those songs without re-uploading them or would i just have to deal with the re-uploading?
Thanks!

... I am sort of confused right here:
By upload, do you mean ripped/burned?

If you right click a song and go to get info, it will show you where its located in the property dialogue. Get info on one of the songs you ripped and take note of where it is. I am thinking its in your My Music folder under iTunes.
