hey guys!
i'm just interested in how you guys dealt with being new to a totally new school.
like for myself, i went to a public state school where i knew like everyone.
and now i decided to transfer to a totally diff. state where i don't know anyone.
its hard since i'm not a freshman but i'm pretty sure it would've been hard either way.

so any tips on surviving at the new school?

I transferred to a new school after my freshman year ^^

It's definitely tougher being a transfer than a freshman (in terms of meeting new people, etc.), but it's still manageable. Just be very proactive about going out to club meetings, transfer bonding events (if any), and just being a generally nice charming person. Most of my closest friends are people from clubs, classes, and from my dorm floors. So bottom line is: just put yourself out there! Be open to try new things and I'm sure you'll do just fine. : )

I agree! I just transferred to another university this year too. You should volunteer around the community near your school, meet new people in class, attend study groups, and definitely join clubs and school organizations. I'm sure you'll people meet interesting people with the same interests and passions as you. Also attending a party or two wouldn't hurt either (but not the crazy wild college parties, that's just the wrong crowd)

I did that for high school and I'm doing it again for university. But this time I know some people, but no one I hang out with. In the end it works out for me. Honestly though, I really like it. Put myself into uncomfortable situations and making them comfortable always makes me feel like I've accomplished something.
