Yes! I did, I found one that was cleaned and pearl white! but unfortunately someone bought it from the owner a grand cheaper than what I was gonna give him. He regretted... all well his loss is not my gain anymore! "MR's" are soooo hard to find around my price range.

Hit up Sam at Southcoast Mitsubishi and tell him what you specifically need (and your price bracket).

Doesn't look like the dude will take lower offers, but his car is definitely beyond your normal MR8.

surprised theres a girl on here w/ good taste! evo's are very hard to come by, esp an unmolested one but shouldn't really be an issue in cali. try autotrader.com and cars.com. have you also considered the STi's?

STi's are quite fast but I'm not up for the racing and stuff I've always loved the evo's look. More aggressive and hot!! for me personally STi's I think are much quicker than an EVO but the EVO is good for off roading and it's a four wheel drive. So yeah.. I live in area like that. STi's are too bubbly for me. But it's a good car (:

Cause my parents will be available that time. But all well.. I'll tell them when I find one early so they can book a day off work.

Evo's are as fast as an sti in a straightline, and faster on turns, stock for stock. Evo's also make much more power when modded, for less money.

Downsides to an evo or sti is that people will want to race u all the time. Insurance rates are high. Evo has a small gas tank and gets bad gas mileage, especially when modded (cams, exhaust, engine mangement, tune). Cops will also profile you as a suspected street racer because of the car u drive. Just letting u know biggrin.gif

for that amount of money i would buy a nice low mile clean E46 M3.... don't buy a evo used, most likely they've been used and abused.

Yeahhh fasho. Evos are proven to be better handling on the track than an STI, which I hear has bad understeer. Honestly I think the boxer engine is much more appealing and sounds sexier, but the Evo = better performance. One thing they do have in common though, is their high HIGH cost for maintenance :/

why would you pay that much money for somebody else's project? id take a stock used car over a sickly modified used car anyday. cars that have already been customized just feel tainted... plus im guessing she wont need that much power in any case.

I know that (: I want a stock will near it! I really don't want to get an modified one because I know there's always something wrong about it. I'm not going to go out to burn out my car on the race track or anything.

Most used Evo's are modified and returned back to stock to sell. So you probably wouldn't know it was modified unless u took it to a mechanic who knows how to look for indications that the car was modded previously.
