Contract status on Leopold?

Tucker = on pace for 30+ goals. Got real mature. Great Agitator if need be. Brings it to the playoffs. One more year on his contract and not even 30 yrs old.

hmm since leafs will prolly be in rebuilding mode, I'd prefer picks and prospects.

Anyways Tuff, now that i think bout it. I'd say it'd be stupid to trade Tucker. The Leafs need to keep him and even though Leopold is pretty good in his own regard, it'd really have to be a deal that i can't refuse to take Tucker for. Personally, I would only trade Tucker for a top tier prospect and a 1st rounder. You just can't teach intensity, grittiness and heart in players. He brings intangibles to the team and taking him away could really hurt the team. Even if we were to push for the playoffs or rebuild.

^ya, Minny would officially be sellers at this point if they would trade to a divisional rival. Bad deal for the Oilers imo. A 37 UFA goaltender who plays in one of the most defensive minded teams in the league for a 1st rounder and maybe even a 3rd rounder.
