You can also say if the canucks had their full lineup all season long and without people playing through injury. We would be fighting for the presidents trophy already based on what happened in oct-nov.

The management of vancouver aint that great either. If crowford couldve helped this group get worked up then it mightve been a different story. Crowford in most parts was silent this year unlike the years before where he motivated everyone so much.

See you had natural causes + mediocre management.

We've had STUPID management and an old crusty bad goalie who wants his money and doesn't wanna retire.

My examples of stupid management include Pat Quinn's decision of making lines (.. Putting Sundin with 2 rookies? Demoting O'Neil down, thus bringing down his morale?), JFJ's trade to NJ (Great, Ken Klee for some prospect who did nothing), JFJ not bringing Aubin up any sooner, etc.

At least Crawford was smart with his lines by keeping the Sedin triplets together which had huge success this season and staying persistent with the Bertuzzi-Morrison-Naslund line most of the time. I hope for Pat Quinn to be gone next season OR admit that he screwed up mid-season.

But crowford did do one thing that is wrong. Riding Auld to almost death. Auld played I think 35 of the last 38 games.

But noranen was pretty rusty so that was one of the reasons. Noranen is playing pretty well right now. He has a quick glove hand and great reflexes. One thing he needs to work on is rebounds and lateral movement.

Auld=Quick legs, good lateral movements, big, and has great position.
Noranen=Quick glove, great position, and has more emotion then Auld.

im betting if theres one big offseason move itll be ridding crawford.. i still cant see them blowing up the core just yet.. probably be the same guys next year which i dont really have too much a prob with cause its not that they lack skill or anything.. they just got injured a lot and slacked off and i think a new coach would address that motivation issue

anyway nice classic finish tonight with nazzy and bert scoring and mo scoring again in ot

and just wanna point that it was last night that the canucks will be on cknw.. ive listened to cknw since i was a kid and i hope TEAM will sign tom and shorty so i can keep listening to them tongue.gif

I'm happy that they won today vs the Sens even though they are out of the playoffs. They did their best at the end and it showed. I hope they can continue again next year. It was a lot of fun today watching the 5-1 win lol. Stajan is really on fire now. 7goals in last 10 games. If now only Pat Quinn can see the light and admit that Stajan and Steen has some mad chemistry together.

Well, now its for me to cheer for NY and the Sharks cool.gif

Well...Ken Klee wasn't that great >.> and the prospect Suglobov isn't as bad as you would think. He's too flashy but i think he'd do some pretty great things with Wellwood as his center. The guy is from the NJ system, any prospect from that system is pretty good. You shouldn't criticize that trade yet. Lets see what he does next year then make conclusions. After Maurice is done with him, I'm sure his defensive game will be a lot better. Maurice is like some magical coach who makes prospects better ph34r.gif

btw Tony...Canucks are not the only team riddled with injuries... Our blueline like yours was also devestated in injuries cept Kaberle was never injured even once. We had 7 blueliners injured at one point. Including our rookies. Good teams fight through injuries, obviously ours wasn't good enough but you won't get any sympathy from teams including one particular team called the Flyers. They really took a beating if you look into it.

But for this team. It is bad coaching + Injuries which killed the playoff hope.

Jagr got owned big time by the SJ duo. Thornton took the lead in Points and Cheechoo took the lead in goals.

What did Naslund say at the end?

I read on another forum that naslund didn't give a speech at the end. And the fans booed Eric Weinrich when he gave away his jersey. I wished cbc would have shown SOMETHING considering the commentator kept on reminding us that there is a high chance linden is gonna be gone and it is the last time the big line will be together. sad.gif The fact that all naslund, bert and morrison scored in the final game makes it harder to accept that they'll be separated.

I think only 1 of the 3 will get traded. Bertuzzi himself said he will train himself to the limit in the summer in kitchener and be back next year to help this team more. Hope that is true. Naslund will not be traded because of his "no trade clause" so probably morrison. TB is interested in Cloutier and they need a cheaper 2nd line center.

Cloutier+Morrison+1st round 2007 = Richards

Nazzy said that if they find someone else to be captain he would be willing to step down and hand it over.

I really wish this team would just win. I've grown to love these bunch of guys and would hate to see any core member leave. But Priority #1 is winning and if it means getting rid of them, then by all means trade em.

I feel bad for Weinrich being booed but ya, he was supposed to be the best and most experienced acquisition of the 3 d-men we got but he ended up being the worse.

Did Carney get booed?

^...Highly doubt that will land you the Conn Smythe winner of 2004. If I was TB, I could probably get a higher end goalie to solve my problems. Cloutier isn't that much better then Burke or the other guy i who's name i always forget. Morrison is good 1st line center, but this year he has slowed down a lot. He has shown he can't do much with out good linemates that are producing i.e. Naslund + Bertuzzi. I don't know where you heard TB needs a 2nd line center but they definitely don't need more center depth. When you have St. Louis as your 2nd line center, i don't see why you would need another 2nd line center to put on your third line rotting away. They would probably need cheap servicable defencemen like Allen since Kubina will probably leave the team due to their cap restrictions. Maybe if you change the 1st round to 2006, they might bite. If they feel they can get a good player in the top 15 of this years draft it. Just saying if i was Tampa, i wouldn't bite.
