hey Vancouver hockey fans, is there any pool worth $20,000 or more in your local newspapers or not (if so whats the link to their site)? I'm wondering, because here in Calgary there is at monsterhockeypool.com . Sponsored by the Calgary Sun and three college/technical institutions. I came so close to winning last year, 20th out of 11,000 entries. I'm going to try again every year till I die old.

i used to be like that...until i saw other who are like that and notice how annoying that is. like the carolina hurricane fans..i bet that city is gonna lose their team soon cuz not much ppl go to their games.

anyways i was pretty mad when ppl started bashing morrison and linden cuz after 6 games they didn't have much points. esp linden u kno he's a good player even if he doesn't score goals. besides he's an all time fave canuck here in vancouver

^ It's a pool where you swim in with a bunch of other people while other people on the side throw hockey figurines into the pool. You have a limited amount of time to swim around and pick up as many hockey figurines as you can. The more you get, the higher your rank is.

^ haha..ditched him for Rolosson. At least Gaborik is coming back..I'm excited. Thornton and Hejduk are both day-to-day now, so I'm even more excited. I got Luongo and Aebisher in one pool, and I got Luongo and Kipprusoff in another. And most of my goalies are kicking butt now =D Oh, and I have Legace, although I'm wondering if I should ditch him for that..Hunqvist guy? or Lundqvist from NYR? o_o

DID ANYONE SEE THE POTENTIAL PLAYERS LIST FOR TEAM CANADA!? HOLY CRIPES WE HAD BETTER FREAKING OWN THE TOURNAMENT o_o

ya, I got H. Lundqvist in my pool, had to kick out Eric Staal to make space for him. Eric Staal is em up and comers, u might wanna keep and eye on him. man 4 goalies in one pool, and all cuz of Bulin wall, should've drafted Hasek in like the 7th round instead =\

dude just kick out Bulin..I don't think you don't need 4 goalies o_o I think out of all the free agent signings during the summer, Bulin has to be one of the biggest busts. Such a massively fat pay check, and he's not delivering at all.

Ugh..stupid Yahoo tells me THIS MORNING when I was in SCHOOL thank Gaborik is playing so I didn't have time to put him onto the lineup. And what happens? He gets five points for my pool that I will never get back >=O

It always amazes me how Jovanovski manages to make it onto the Canada roster. He's not a flashy player, he's not a particularly skilled player, and yet he manages good points and averages, and he manages to get things done. And he also manages to get himself noticed by Team Canada. I am freaking amazed. o_o But I like him..he's still a good D man

^ its gonna be such a hard job choosing 23. i mean 81 players! but wayne gretzky is awesome. he help select a winning team last time and he's doing the same thing while still coaching phoeinix (and their winning =)) plus...i've never seen him brag about anything. humble guy

btw was watching tsn and they selected players from 2002 olympics that mite be "on the bubble" for 2006. cudn't believe paul kariya was one of them. i mean he scored a few goals last time and was prolly one of the few fast players there.

^ I agree..Gretzky's probably one of the classiest guys to ever play hockey..or anything, for that matter.

I think the reason why Kariya's on the bubble isn't based on his performance with Team Canada last time, but based more on the fact that he never really got things going last time NHL was played because of injuries, so they couldn't really gauge how he was doing in terms of hockey, especially since he didn't play elsewhere, I dont' think. Now that he's doing pretty well with the Predators, they've decided to invite him, but he's not tried and tested this year yet, unlike many of the others. I'm assuming that's a reason why he's on the bubble.

But I really wish Kariya could play for the Canucks.. he IS, afterall, born in Vancouver

I know T.T what a crime, but BULIN WAS MY 3RD ROUND!!! CAN U BELIEVE THAT!! 3RD ROUND GAH! ==" could've gotten someone like...Brad Richards =\ damn me for not checking what team he was playing on ==" I know, Bulin is a huge bust, he's an above avg goalie playing w/ a terrible defense.

yes Eric Staal is a good kid but in my small hockey pool team, it Henrik Zetterburg( I got him off waivers too, such ownage ) is the next guy elgible to be cut off. So it was a tough decision

We should make on of em huge Yahoo Fantasy leagues next year where each team has a huge roster =o that would be pretty interesting...

o well, at least O Neill was a good late round draft pick...

Haha..I made, like, 10 waiver pickups last night and dumped a bunch of guys that weren't doing anything like Andrew Brunette and Marius Czerkawski. Those people took up room and weren't giving me any points >=O

And I also dropped Blakes last night cause of his 0-3-3 and -5. And today he scores <___<.. wtf T__T
