They are rushing him just like how they rushed Thornton. Boston ruins all prospects sad.gif.

Pittsburg is rumoured to be in a deal with Montreal and it would send Malkins 1 way and a trade like what got Lindros the other way. O_O

Like Ben said, he may not be welcomed by Russian fans. That's why Alexander Mogilny never played for Team Russia since defecting (other than the World Cup of Hockey in 1996)

What lindros got the other way meaning. What happened in the Lindros trade where Lindros got traded from Quebec to Philly

Lindros for like Forsberg-Thiubalt-15 million in cash- and like 3 more guys + some draft picks.

umm... o.o not to be a i can't read tony, but your wrong. U know..Thornton...the same one i know? Art Ross winner...ruined? O_O err? They got a good young core from development involving Bergeron, Boyes, Toinoven(sp?). Their record with development has done well, with Samsonov, Boynton and Raycroft in the past. Im not saying they are amazing, but they do not ruin many prospects.

lol, I would'nt call a Hart Trophy winner ruined. A guy who got ruined will more be like a Alexandre Daigle.

I kno this is just a rumour, but it doesnt make sense. Pitt's payroll needs to be low, what better than getting a superstar like Malkin at a set 'Rookie' price, I believe the most a rookie can make is around (900,000/yr). Pen's can't even sign any decent regular NHL guys right now, let alone getting 4-5 guys in return to sign for Malkin. Plus, the Habs don't have a prospect like 'Forsberg' to give to the pens. And U have to remember, the only reason Lindros was traded, was b/c he cried and pouted about Not wanting to play in Quebec, as far as I kno, Malkin is more than happy to play for the Pens or else he won't be hiding himself and running away from Russia these days. So unless Montreal is giving straight up a whole bunch of cash for the guy, i really dont see a trade happening.

There was nothing to ruin for Daigle. He was never a superstar in the NHL like Lindros once was.

lol, i know what would get you Malkin, a new arena in Pittsburg lmao. hmm..maybe i should tell spam jfj and tell him to do that >=) lol

Habs cannot put really offer enough assets to get the pens of trading him. I mean, they would have to prolly give up Perezogin (sp?), Kostiytin(sp?), Latendresse or Higgins, Price or Danis, a couple of high picks and a midlevel prospect such as Chipchura *I consider him mid level cuz he is prolly gonna be 3rd-2nd liner but im not doubting his leadership*. I might be overrating Malkin, but i really have my doubts that the Pens will trade him unless its a huge overpayment that helps them fill their depth in forwards and defence.

Not ruined all but ruined most. Thornton took how many years to get to where he is? Imagine if Thornton wasn't rushed and brought up at around 20. He would be an even better player. But I get why Boston wants to bring Kessel up early. Since Boston is lacking center depth.

Not everyone can be brought into a league at 18. It would ruin their determination to play. If you make mistakes while playing in the Majors. It is like hell and will ruin your confidence. Only a few people can be brought up at 18 like Crosby, Lemiuex. You can say Ovechkin could've been brought up at 18. But I dont know, maybe kessel will become a star in his first year like Crosby.

The Canadiens have many nice players to give to Pitts

Ryder, Souray, boullion, Higgins, Aebeisher, Price, Danis etc etc

You forgot that the Habs are going to be weak next year at Center due to Koivu still being out. They are also trying to sign Dumont but who will play 1st line RW? Ryder or Dumont?

-PS, Daigle is a hollywood star to begin with. He could've won an Oscar. tongue.gif

..o_o...honestly tony, how do you ruin an Art Ross winner??? And every team ruins prospects o_O its a fact. Powerforwards take a hell of a long time to develop, just look at Berts development path man. Many powerforwards like Big Joe blossom late just like most defencemen. Sure, he's not an Eric STaal where he blossomed the 2nd yr in the league but then again, not many players are like Eric Staal.

...lol, of course the habs do, but how much are they willing to pay is the question isn't it?

Daigle was in hollywood for like 3 years trying to get an acting career. Nolan is just a risk UFA signing. If he can bar all injuries that he has had in the past, he can be one hell of a pick up.

Then Daigle should've recieved those Raspberry awards...

What's the worst that could happen for the Coyotes? They signed him for one-year and if he gets injured... there goes a few million bucks down the drain.

The Golden Raspberry Awards or Razzies were created by John Wilson in 1980, intended to complement the Academy Awards by dishonoring the worst acting, screenwriting, songwriting, directing, and films that the film industry had to offer. Current awards are voted upon by the membership of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation (GRAF). Traditionally, nominations are announced one day before the Motion Picture Academy announces its Oscar nominations, and the awards are presented one day before the Oscar ceremony.

A bit of update to hockey news: Rory Fitzpatrick gets signed by Vancouver, Cory Stillman's out 3-4 months due to surgery. Yay the Hurricanes will be screwed!

lol, the Hurricanes will be just fine. They got Staal, Cole, Cam Ward, Williams, Brind' Amour etc.

And Daigle only pursued his hollywood career after Sens 'ruined' his hockey one.
