I don't know why Sportsnet said it was a surprise move that Luc Bourdon was sent down to Manitoba. He totally played (or didn't play at all) his way out of the lineup.. he was invisible for all the games he played.. o_O

Hockey pool update!!!

I've checked the times and for tues, wed and thrus. all the night times are already full. I can get in on friday night tho...

How does Friday October 5th 6:15pm MDT sound?

Still at work (or stuck in traffic) at that time. sad.gif I prefer to stay at the original draft time Saturday. But if the new time works for everyone else, I'm fine with it and will pre-rank my draft list.

To all managers that joined the yahoo hockey pool, the draft time is NOT gonna change. It is still on Saturday October 6th at 3:30pm MDT. I'm sorry for those who can't make it, but there isn't really a time that seem to fit everyone so we'll keep the orignal date.

Note: Make sure you have your desired lineup set for the retro-stats count on the night of Sat. Oct. 6 11:59pm PT. I would use the retroactive stat tool which will count all stats of your players since the beginning of season. I hope this makes sense.

Thank you all, and see you at the draft!

I'm gonna say Flames, cuz I'm biased too. lol

But after the lost on Thursday, I'm not so sure anymore. They just got so unlucky....to get scored on in the last 2 minutes of the game in a tie. sad.gif

Damn Colorado is a threat to the Northwest Division this year. Stastney is a beast. 5 points today, 6-2 over SJ

Stastny is gonna be among the top 10 best players this year from what I predict... Even top 3... HAHA!

I regret not taking him in my other pool... damn... He was taken too early for me...Somebody stole Prospal in our league hahaha... I thought about picking him up near the end like in other pool... Strategy failed...

o_O Erm, he's cleared to play by doctors, is already getting treatment and is gonna live a full healthy life. What blow? Bell sucks anyway.

QUOTE
"It's an unusual sentence to hear — the first word is cancer, the next word is leukemia, and then everything should be all right," Toronto coach Paul Maurice said. "I'm not familiar with the condition so it was new that something like this would be as treatable. And for such a positive sentence to come after such a negative sentence, it takes a little while to get your head around it."

It won't be completely healed, he's just taking daily medication that prevents the fatigue and aches. In other words, Blake isn't in 100% shape, he's in 99.9%.

Why does everyone plays in Toronto have health issues?

Chris Chelios just played his 984585th career game today. That dinosaur.

Oh! And I've been wondering what's up with the Predators. Seeing how Mr. Bettman's anti-Canadian and won't let the Preds be sold to the Blackberry dude, what's the dealio for the Preds now?

Hahaha Chris Chelios... I've watched the game... He even scored a goal, after his 3rd straight shot in a row from his own 2nd rebound... PFHAHA! He will keep amazing us, even if he's 100 years old...

I swear, sometimes I watch some classic hockey games in NHL network TV, and I saw him almost all the time!!! All players in the games are all gone retired these days... but Chelios is always there...

Talking about retirement... I find it funny when people were retiring with all the smile and tears in their eyes, but then came back... HAHAHA! (Current case: Jeremy Roenick - Previous case: Lemieux, Hasek, ... etc...)
But no one has done as much as Mario Lemieux, right? Watching his jersey retiring 3 times...

Yzermaaaaan! Get back!

Just kidding... haha...

*Oh yeah, for Jason Blake, one of his teammate had a smile on his face when he was interviewed to talk about Jason... weird... tongue.gif

Jesse Boulerice slash, just plain dirty and should get 25 games minimum. If the downie suspension was the benchmark.

Lemieux has only retired twice just like Hasek... Lemieux retired the first time because of his cancer, came back, tore up the league right away with 76 points in 43 games that season, had health and injury problems problems in the following years and had his final retirement around when Crosby broke out into the NHL.

Ohhhh yeah you're right! He retired twice...
Man his absences (due to injuries) made me all confused how many times he was retired... haha!
So I wonder if someone would come up with "retiring 3 times"... phew.gif
