^oOOo, I never thought of that, very good point. That might stir things up if Lou was forced to pick a different number despite how classy he is.

Oh well, Captain Kirk'll always be my favourite, biggrin.gif

lol sorry for butting in your convo, which I have no clue what's going on.

But I think Carey Price will be the next Brodeur. (I duno if I have already said this before.) When was the last time you saw a 21 year old play at NHL caliber next to Patty Roy and Brodeur?

Okay that's all I have to say.

Go Sharks!

I don't think he is playing at the Caliber yet. Not even close. What Brodeur and Roy do is change the game themselves. Price has a long way to go.

I agree. Price has a very long way to go, and besides, half his fan base consists of loyal puck bunnies, BUT I do believe that he is one of the most orthodox goalies in the league at present.

Lou's undergoing an MRI today and they're going to have the results later. Bieksa skated by himself today, and is going to start skating with the team soon. Rypien's still out indefinitely but he's 'recovering significantly' and Salo is looking good for tonight's game. CuSa's starting tonight. I really, really, really hope that Louie's not out for too long.

Puck drops, 7 PM tonight.

The most orthadox is Luongo bar and none LOL. Only the odd cases will you see this guy out of position.

After Luongo underwent an MRI today, team doctors diagnosed him with an Adductor Strain (groin) and his return is week-to-week. Watch his press conference at 6:45 on Canucks.nhl.com.

Well, that was just me summing it up but if you guys want the full article, just go to Canucks.com, it'll be on the front page.

__EDIT

Did anybody go on CDC and read that thing about the TSN panel talking about Cory Schneider being the best goalie that's not in the NHL? and he had great comparisons like how he's just as great as Carey Price? I was like 'wow'. He just at the moment kind of lacks NHL experience and such.

What TSN was saying is Schneider has Price POTENTIAL. Schneider is probably the best goalie not in the NHL at the moment. He is average under 1.5 goals a game and a 94% save. THAT IS DARN GOOD in the AHL.

OHHH, I didn't actually watch it, so yeah. I think he's on like an 8-1-1 mean streak right now or something around there.

Vancouver 0 - 1 Detroit
1st intermission.

I thought the last couple minutes were really good, and we could've scored if Hansen had raised the puck but oh well. We'll get it back, for Lou.
Hordichuk had a very nice little scrap, ;] Maybe he read my mind because a couple minutes before that, I was like 'DAD, YOU KNOW HORDICHUK? #24? WE HIRED HIM TO BE OUR ENFORCER BUT HE DOESN'T REALLY FIGHT ANYBODY, IT'S O'BRIEN & DAVISON THAT GET DIRTY!' and then suddenly, the gloves dropped!

Hordichuk fights everyone, just people do not want to fight him. He also doesnt fight when we are winning as it gives the other team a spark. He is a smart enforcer tongue.gif

^But he's like, dropped the gloves possibly twice this year? Excluding tonight? Or maybe it's because we haven't really been losing, but I don't know.
Also, when I first saw his picture, I was like 'he is SO NOT an enforcer'.

I CANNOT believe that Pyatt got the game-tying goal.

THIS GAME MADE MY DAY!!!! I'm not joking you! Today is like the roughest day of the year for me.

Vancouver vs. Detroit 3-2 Final OT

Daniel with that leveling goal! I was so panicked. I saw the clock and I was thinking, 'I don't think we'll make it...' but then Dank stumpped those thoughts out! WOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~!!! (I'm really really happy if you can't tell =D)
Sanford! As much as I wanted Luongo (hopefully his strain heals up quickly) in net, Sanford has been doing amazingly well!! Or maybe I underestimate him a bit too much.
Then Salo is my one-star-man! Making the much needed and wanted OT goal. Good smart fake passes by Henrik(?) and Demitra then the quick shot by Sami! We were really lucky to get the penalty.

WHAT A GAME! JEEZ! My god, the Canucks are really the greatest underdogs in a while. How many people pegged them to be last in the west this year?

YEAAAAAAAH BOY! FINNISH MCINNISSSSSSSSSSSSSH! Man, Sami SALO! Freakin' ripped it PAST Osgood. This ain't luck you guys, we're a talented competitive team. When Datsyuk scored, I had this big hunch that we'd get it back and we did. Last year, I remember our coming back from behind record and it was TERRIBLE, but this year. How many times has it been? In Calgary, in Detroit twice. In... somewhere else, biggrin.gif

I'm very happy with our team, despite losing Lou, if we win our next two games, we're going to prove to the league that we don't need our beloved captain Louie to save the day for us every game.

We were like 2-30 last year from behind after 3. Last years team played with zero heart, zero emotion. You can tell from the slow skating Naslund. This year, everyone plays for each other and thus it shows when you see our celebrations now biggrin.gif

^You're lucky! I have insomnia so I always have trouble staying awake, but I have to. Tonight's game in particular was a pain to watch because my dad was PMSing the whole time, and he kept saying things while we were watching.

Chioster, well last season, during the month of November was probably the only true time we had it in us because Lou was playing the role of Superman and Pinky & the Brain & Nazzy were just doing it for us. I still miss him, =/

We had our stints last year. But even during the stint of November last year, we were winning because Luongo kept us in it. This year, you can feel it that the whole team is buying into the system and we can win 3 straight EVEN without luongo. I don't think there was a time last year when we could win 3 straight without Luongo and against Playoff TEAMS TOO!
