Teehee, McClemmens(sp) got undressed by Sundin at the point, biggrin.gif aaaaand, the scrap was Bieeeeksallent.
Andy McDonald's (or is it MacDonald?) visor is so big, O_O.
I also totally forgot what I was going to say... Oh yeah, some really good give & go hockey on Sundin's first goal, it woulda been nice if Demitra had passed it back to Sundin (I'm PRETTY sure it was him that passed to Demitra in the first place) for the empty net so he coulda had the hattrick, but that mighta made a fool outta the poor lone Blues' player.

sundin helped cause the turn over but he did not pass it to him, it was unassisted. There was no time to make a pass to sundin to shoot it. That was pretty much the only choice Demitra had to make.

Oh, wow, I was washing the dishes for the last 30 seconds, and I was pretty sure I heard 'Sundin passes to Demitra and Demitra goes for the empty netter' or something along those lines. Oh well, Sundin's playing his worth, it's all good.

I'm nervous for when we play Montreal, O_O, and LOL, did anybody catch Don Taylor's commercial? HAHA!

AAAAAAND, if you go to CDC, on the second page thingy, it's like 'FANZONE: grand theft luongo', gave me a good laugh.

I was at Brown's on Broadway on Sat watching the nucks. Sweet game (by us) and a terrible game by Chicago. Chicago is normally significantly better.

Left work and got home to see the last 15 minutes of the Bruins/Sharks. Was pretty sure Sharks would win, West is significantly stronger than East this year despite the ASG, and was surprised Boston was up 2-1. I'm glad the Sharks rocked the Bruins. West > East.

Turned back to the Canucks game and it was 0-2 for the blues and I was like wtf. Dinner, gym, watched the EN goal and was happy.
Seems like Luongo needs more time. He's let in a few softies.

Another come from behind win. How much longer will it last? Also, who wants the sedins? They can't even score 5ft from an empty net, 4 TIMES TOO!. 3 last game, 1 this game.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, I love Jovocop, and always will. <3
SECONDLY, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel. How many empty nets did we miss tonight? And last game? And I'm not just talking about when their goaltender was pulled (I'm not going to even TRY spelling it... Okay... Bryz...Galov? Looked longer.)

Lou still looks pretty rusty to me, but made that glove save look easy in the third and I thought that double minour was pretty stupid. There was no doubt that Ohlie clipped him but Dan somethingsomething (won't try getting at his name either) completely called that off the replay and had the nerve to come over to our bench and claim that he was originally going to call it but just didn't signal it. Vinnie just scoffs at him and walks away. wink.gif

Four in a row guys! Barbie in net tomorrow night, they better rest up.

^well the rebound that went to daniel where he missed on the one-timer backhand, that's not easy to do especially when it's coming at you at that speed. if it was his forhand it would have been a diff story.

but when kesler and daniel missed the open net at the very end...>< i was like "yes sundin will get an assist!"

I was only talking about the last empty net-attempt with the twins, biggrin.gif
but I'm pretty sure it was deflected anyway.

Yes it was, he shot it between the legs of the D and it clipped to the left.

I think the Sedins need a tracker.
Anyway, screw you Turchoke, screw you and your interfering and your good puck handling.
I get so anxious when I watch Welly, I like the guy a lot and he doesn't look as easy going with the puck anymore, and my goodness I just want him to score.

SCORE DAMMIT! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SOFT HANDS?!

Wellwood's still an immobile player.

Kaberle and Kubina are willing to lift their no-trade clauses, who wants?

wellwood was playing well today! first time he's played well in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time, which is why he was out there during the last 2 minutes.

im not too worried. canucks played very well today. but turco stood on his head.

jason blake is getting hot again.

i like how burke stated antropov won't be back next year. why does he have to publicly say that?

Because Burke's cool and never does things the easy way.

No, I guessed.

Ah, and I totally forgot. Barbie's goaltending was great last night.

WHOOOOOA, OKAY. Let's not get hasty.

Everybody, join me~! "WOOOO~!"

Montréal vs. Vancouver 2-4 Final

Missed the first (again) but caught the recap. First goals were made by Daniel Sedin and Alex Edler! Swede power~! Then half-way, captain Saku Koivu puts the Habs on the scoresheet.
Only goal in the second was made with 49 seconds left on the clock! By Henrik Sedin!
Third period, Kesler made another goal to seal the deal but the Habs scored one more time by Kostitsyn. Not a half-bad game (well, to the ears anyways).

We're in 5th place baby~~!!! WOOO~
And first time in 8 (??) years we've gone through a whole 60 minutes with no penalties! WOOO~!

Vancouver vs. Calgary 4-3 Final S/O

Northwest rivalry~! Love it. Always a big hype before, during, and after the game. Mitchell got pissed off at Mike Keenan, I think. Keenan was complaining about Willie's stick not being regulation or something and during the warm-up, Mitchell put a shaft of one stick onto his stick making it twice as long! ROFL! Such a sight~! I wonder how P.O-ed Keenan must've been... (For a visual of the infamous stick, go to the Ice Hockey thread)

A few really good chances early (like, 5-10 minutes early) but none of them converted into a goal. Then Iginla makes a goal at 9:51, his third goal in 20 games.
Our defense was whacked-up during this first. The puck was in our zone for a majority of the period and SO MANY DAMN TURNOVERS. Which one of them lead into a goal (well, that one was more due to poor puck-handling.) But Lou was just wow. He made that crazy save through the traffic/interference showing a flash of old-Bobby Lou. And, Oh My Gee's!! Wellwood got his first penalty after 106 (yes, one hundred and six) games. Le gasp!
AV put Kes and Burrs back together as well as with their new lines (ie: Sundin-line, Sedin-line, and Burs-&-Kes-line) Fairly smart move to enhance goal chances. And it worked! Kesler puts the Canucks on a scoreboard~~!! WOOOO~! Off of a Burrows' rebound, Kesler shoots and SCORES! On the shorthand~ Always expect Burrows to produce something on the Shorthand.
Second period, Henrik had a really good chance! A quick pass by Burrows and Henrik is robbed by Kiprusoff! Garh! Burrows has been producing a lot of chances for other a lot in this period. One for Henrik, one for Kesler...
The second was fairly uneventful until the 17:05! PPG made by Kesler with the Sundin-line. Now he's got a PPG and a SHG under his belt. Then at 18:09, Langkow takes three whacks and pockets a goal just after a minute of Kesler's goal.
Then the Flames gain back the lead in the third after a goal by Bourque. Burrows had two chances to get ahead before Bourque's but nope! Didn't happen.
Bieksa makes a BIEKSALLENT goal with 51 seconds left on the ticking clock.

Shoot out:
Canucks: Demitra- Cha-ching! Makes it a win for us~~!
Flames: Bertuzzi: X (HAHAH Ironic... a bit... KARMA)

The saves by both Kipper and Lou were amazing! First Lou with that lunging save and Kipper dives to keep that one goal lead! Wellwood made a quick shot and WOAH~ Kipper comes from the other side of the net to make a save on an open net.
