That is the thing about Kopitar. A great player, one who loves to score will shoot at all different angles as much as possible. Why does Ovechkin always score? He always shoots from unpredictable angles as well as do moves that no one expects.

Avalanche vs. Canucks 2-4 Final

Wellwood finally made a goal! It may have been off of his shaft but his point nonetheless. I thought it was gonna be Kesler's but apparently it went off of his stick. Good screen though.
And Burrs took three chances to get a SHG. First one was kinda comedic where he hit the post then after he missed again and finally, got his rebound to make his 4th SHG. And did some give Pyatt a tic-tak? #9's 9th goal (heehee. (sorry))
Kesler got pretty beat up during the second. First the Tucker hit and then Demo's shot on his helmet! Lucky enough, he saw it and turned his head. Unlucky enough, the shot is still ringing his head around.
Tucker got lucky. I cannot believe Lou kicked it in! But I guess it could've happen to anyone but what in the world!
Late in the third, Edler uses that might stick of his and gets a goal! Thought it was tipped by Sundin but guess I was wrong. And Ohlund gets the milestone point with the second assist as well as become the all-time leader in defensemen in points. Earned the standing O... then came a curfuffle.

I don't like how Tucker wasn't called for hitting Kesler (I say 'elbow'). Kinda ticked me off. But when Ohlund gets called on Tucker! Deuces! Avs just didn't have it in them this game.

Big congrats also goes to Canucks for Kids Fund!

The thing that it was expected because he just did that earlier and missed.

If he scored on his first attempt, I'd be like "sick shot".

Fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me.

Well how many goals are scored on a 5hole? many. No 2 shots are the same, that is what goalies always say. Every shot changes from its velocity to angle. The 2 shots might look the same but in reality, they are very different. Plus the 2 plays were different too. The 1st attempt, Kopitar was alone so Luongo can focus solely on Kopitar while the 2nd attempt, the goal, Kopitar had a teammate with him so Luongo had to cheat a little so he won't have to move as far to the other side if a pass was made. We all know, Kopitar loves to pass and he has sick passing skills so those passes are possible for him.

hahah I see 5-hole goals all the time. At least once every other game.

Man Luongo's doing so well. I see a good run for the cup this year if he keeps up with the way he's playing now.

5 hole goals are normally considered weak goals, FWIW. Only sometimes are 5 hole goals considered highlight worthy or strong and unstoppable goals.

http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=528970

From the article:

While there's no question Luongo is making big saves and providing adequate work in the nets, there's also no question he has let in an unusual number of soft goals in his last four games.
Against the Los Angeles Kings, defenseman Denis Gauthier scored on a 50-foot shot from the left point that was badly misplayed. Against the Anaheim Ducks, Luongo gave up a bad rebound that resulted in a goal. And Friday against the Kings, Luongo was beaten from the short side by Anze Kopitar.

It is considered a softy.

But as I said, sure it might be a weak goal but you got to remember, IT WASN'T THE EXACT SAME SHOT! I wasn't making the point that it was or was not a weak goal, I was making the point that no 2 shots are the same. Sure I would have loved to have Luongo saved it. Oh well, lets forget about it. Luongo just got a shutout.

Panta rhei; but if you understand what you said then everything is meaningless.

So does that mean you agree with me or not? Panta Rhei - Everything changes.

But in the end, one play was Kopitar going in alone vs 2 D and Luongo so Luongo can solely focus on Kopitar. The other was 2 on 2 so Luongo had to cheat a bit incase Kopitar made a pass thus leaving space between him and the post.

Anyways, lets hope the streak continues.

Edit- Luongo is 27-10-6 this year. Only 10 regulation loss.

With that really bad empty-nettery, who do you think is to blame for it?

I'm blaming Henrik. O'Brien had nothing to do with a poor giveaway. Who in world plays with the puck like that in neutral zone? I feel bad for Shane for getting all the heat. He shouldn't be blamed for it. Cursed you, H. Sedin!

Vancouver vs. Dallas 5-2 Final

What a game! Such a good comeback from Phoenix.

GREAT ENTERTAINMENT VALUE!! 2nd period was action-packed and I mean Packed!! Ott was just Diiirrr~ty this game. Usually just a pest, but dirrtttyyyyy tonight. Landed on my hit-list.

All stars given were well deserved
1) Kesler
2) Daniel
3) Henrik
All three of them having gotten hurt yet still get atleast 2 points each. I suggest searching up all hits in this game if you missed it.

Man, this is one rule I would love to see changed. Goalies outside of the blue paint and infront of their net, aka if they play the puck behind the net, they are still considered in the blue paint. But what Turco did, he is free game. Anyone can hit him.

I don't know if Turco did this game, but Turco is notorious for pushing the net off in a tight situation where the puck may be a goal.

Today, I was watching the Sharks vs Blackhawks game, freaking Duncan Keith purposely pushed the net over, and didn't get a call for delay of game. I was so frustrated because his action was intentional.

Also, the 'Canes vs Panthers game which was reffed by Fraser. He's OLD and he's horrible. If he refs playoffs, I'm sure fans around the world will boo him out. He doesn't even penalize a team for too many men on the ice when it is even more flat out obvious than other calls. All you have to do is count the physical men ON the ice when the puck is being played by the team. My eyes were hazy, but I swear I saw 7 Hurricane's on the ice.

Sorry for rant, but the reffing these past few regulation games I have seen have been rather shotty.

Reffing could be better but too many men penalties are USUALLY called by the linesmen, they are the ones who have the duty of calling it. Fraser might be old but he has been one of the most consistent refs in the NHL for a long time. But in terms of who is reffing the playoffs, they choose the best records and then they eliminate the worst refs after each round till the 2 best refs are chosen to ref the finals.

I haven't been in here in a long time, ohmy.gif
Oshie COMPLETELY undressed Lou on the first goal, I was just sitting there mouth hanging open, flabbergasted.
I only got to watch the first 2 periods and listened to the last, which sounds like the better choice.
And when Burr suddenly had the puck and was rushing into the Blues' zone, in my mind, IN MY MIND, I was like 'HE'S GONNA SCORE! IT'S BURR, HE'LL SCORE!' and I was like knocking on wood furiously while I was saying it and then he scored, and I was like HAH! I CALLED IT!
But it's Burr, it's practically expected now. Mr.Cluuuuuuutch Vers. 1.4

...I should be at school right now.

OH SNAPPLE, ohmy.gif
that was an INTENSE game, almost as great as the game against edmonton last season, biggrin.gif
bieksa's scrap with eager was nice, although i'd say he didn't win, but he still got him good (if you saw eager's bruised head, yeah, LOL), and bieksa looked so badass with his ripped up shirt, haha.
and the bangbang play from burr, to hank to daniel had me running around the house screaming and yelling, biggrin.gif

when so'b was getting really rowdy and outta control in the big scrum, really reminded me of odjick, :] good job to lou, and thankfully, sharp choked on the penalty shot.
