lol yea very true the passionate ones are nuts.
I just hate the days when there are Bosox and Bruins games on the same day wacko.gif

I think the one thing that may break our stride at the moment is....Manny Fernandez.
I'm sorry but he's just been sooo asdjaksljdklasjdl lately. Sometimes he's amazing but more often than not he's been letting in soft goals. I don't quite believe the rest of the team is fully behind him either, as horrible of an excuse as that may be.
I've been saying that we need to get rid of Manny and bring in Tuukka Rask from Providence Bruins because that kid is great (not to mention without Manny's ridic salary)

But who knows, maybe he'll step it up (finally) and prove me wrong. But I'd still rather have Rask.

Oh, and my heart just broke, you guys...
Rangers sign BU defenseman Gilroy

QUOTE
WASHINGTON - Hobey is coming to New York.

The Rangers have signed Boston University free agent defenseman Matt Gilroy, winner of the Hobey Baker Award as college hockey's best player, as first reported Friday on nypost.com.

Gilroy, the 24-year-old who led the Terriers to the NCAA title last week, received serious bids from a half-dozen teams, notably the Devils, Maple Leafs and Lightning.

The Islanders also were interested up to a point.

It's believed the Long Island native -- whose father, Frank, played basketball for St. John's from 1977-81 -- signed a two-year deal for between $3.5-4M.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/9469938...fenseman-Gilroy

MATT!! PORQUEEE~?!?!
I would have rather you signed with Toronto! Do you realize how likely it is I will watch a Rangers game for you? I'm crazy dude...but not that crazy.

And Gilroy's teammate Colin Wilson just signed with Nashvillewho drafted him in 2008, which I have a neutral opinion about. I'm glad he's gonna start playing pro now, but hes just a sophomore so I was hoping he'd stick around for another year and win a consecutive national title tongue.gif

Ever since we've had Luongo, (excluding the two times he was injured), Vancouver hasn't really had goalie trouble (thank goodness, Clouts gave us enough trouble), so I practically just end up feeling a little bad for teams with horrible goaltending and what not, D: Yes, hockey fans can still be lenient, ;]

And crackednut (you must tell me your name man), I agree, I've seen Rask play before, although I don't follow the Bruins I'd love to see him play again. Reminds me of Varlamov, new kid for Washington, he was GREAT.

Now I can't wait to see Schneids come in for the 'Nucks, although I hope there won't be any situations where he'd have to, D:

And I just completely gave up on the Pitts/Philly game after it became 2-1, streams = crap, brother hogging tv and slowing down internet = BAH.

At least we've got Timmy as our rock in goal <3
But if memory serves me correctly, Manny's contract is up soon so.... *crosses fingers*

Really hoping this game brings Philly back into it. I'm neutral about both teams tbh...just not a Sidney Cindy Crosby fan.
And I like the color orange.

-edit-
and its 4-2 for Philly now!
short handed with about 40seconds left in Penguins PP

lol and a congrats to Kunitz on becoming a daddy!!

Any Chicago/Calgary predictions?
I think it'll either be a 4 game sweep, for Calgary or a long, hard fought 7 game series for Chicago.

D:

3-1 Detroit, I don't even know what went on, completely fell asleep on my homework while watching. =/ AND HOLY CRAP I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE SAN JOSE/ANAHEIM GAME.

Flames didn't win one single game against the Blackhawks during the regular season =(
Also, last game, they got a 2 goal lead and they just sat back and lost it....that frustrated me so much
So I think either Flames will continue like this and lose to Blackhawks 0-4 or they will have to fight their butts off to win

Just had to say this. Still related to the fans issue.
Who in the world 'boo's during a nation's national anthem?! That is just disrespectful and so many levels of rude.

Does anyone think LaBarbera might get resigned after this postseason? He's been solid thus far and you can't deny that he is a good goaltender. He also seems to mesh with the team really well.

crackednut, honestly, I hate hate HAAATE Tim Thomas, don't even make me start, LOL.

Becca*, yeah I still thought the Flames could win despite being swept in their season series against Chicago because the playoffs change everything, but I still think this is going to be a long hard fought playoff series. (All the better, prepare whoever comes out completely tired for the 'Nuckies, biggrin.gif)

ADDY! DID YOU HEAR IT TOO?! GOSH. But he did mess up a couple of times singing O' Canada, but he sounded amazing singing the American national anthem, D: And Barbie would be our best bet as a back-up next year, since I don't really see Schneids heading into the league next year anyway,

but I don't even want to think about what happens when Lou's contract expires. D:

2-2 baby, we're what? 2 for 3 on the power play? YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I want tonight to be a hard fought long game with like, double overtime or so, I think that'd be interesting since the game ends at an early time today anyway, :S

WHO'S EXCITED FOR THE SHARKS/DUCKS GAME? (I'm really into the series because the winner practically decides the 'Nuckies fate. D: if the Sharks win, we'll be fed to the Wings and if the Ducks win, we'll obliterate whoever comes out of the Chicago/Calgary battle, ohmy.gif)

Schneider I'm still 'eh?' about. He's good but not THAT good.

WE ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING ON THE 5-on-3!! I am truly shocked. First game, amazing PK. Second game, random EN from a twin. Third game, a 5-on-3 PPG! This is truly wow-worthy. And the HITS! Truly this is going to be on my "best hits" mash-up.

As much as I don't like the Ducks, I want them to win. But the series has been really energy packed lately. Some good stuff coming from that series. I think if the Flames come out on top, there's gonna be something MAJORLY worth watching and if Hawks win, still some good stuff.

Edit:

Vancouver vs. St. Louis 3-2 Final

After coming from behind! Canucks really picked it up after the first intermission. I really liked Andy McDonald's goal though. It wasn't specatacular or one-of-a-kind but it sure was nice. And can you believe it!! We were what? 3/5 on the PP! That is some incredible SOMETHING!! Playoffs really do bring something special out of us that don't usually show up during the regular season. And we killed all of the Blues 6 PPs!

San Jose and Anaheim! I say, Ducks take this one again.

Schneid's IS a really good goalie but just not ready for the NHL yet.
I really liked McDonald's goal too, biggrin.gif My friend was like 'NO KIM, DON'T COMPLIMENT IT, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!'

My parents had guests over and they were Blues' fans and they were like fully grown 40 year olds, and they were trash talking me, so I had to return the favour, :S And I'm surprised that some people still think it's the regular season, O_o

3 power play goals baby, cool.gif Special teams were great for us today, they had what? two 2-man advantages, and like 3 in all this whole series? They haven't scored a single PPG I think, ohmy.gif Immediately after we scored the 3-2 goal, the whole arena quieted down, and me and my dad were like rofling at our guests.

Hockey fans can be rude, oh yeah. :]

__EDIT

Lucic suspended? I didn't watch the game on Saturday but did he get a game misconduct or something?

And, currently 1-0 Anaheim D: (YAY)

Lol, I don't think you wanna play against the ducks. They are the leagues most roughest and dirtiest especially during regular season with Pronger, Getzlaf, and Perry. They like to take secret slashes at any goal tender while refs don't look. Perry, man... don't get me started with him.

Ducks tire out your team and pull off good wins. Also, Hiller is an amazing netminder.

OH WOW

Nabby let ANOTHER 5 hole again.

Ducks in 6. GG

If the Ducks win,
we'll go on to play Chicago or Calgary,
since Anaheim's the 8th seed they'll end up playing Detroit,

...unless Columbus wins,

Columbus...? I wouldn't rule the thought out but it's starting to look a bit dimmer for them to win.

Lucic got suspended for cross-checking Lapierre I think around the end of the third. It was a pretty hard check. Maxim's helmet flew off his head. Maxim could've gotten a misconduct along with Milan for the way they acted after that though.

^I DON'T.
It'd be an epic series but I think we'd have a better chance winning against Chicago, D:::::

Currently 2-2 in the Montreal/Boston game and 3-0 for Washington, (YAAAAAAAAAAY!)

That was a load of bloody bullocks. You'd think we'd play better on home ice but NO~~~~ the Habs failed us again! And I'll even admit to saying that Boston was the better team (I'm not gonna take those words back). Montreal needs to realize this and STEP UP THEIR GAME!

The Habs skated slower, moved the puck slower, made poor shots and plays, and made BAD passes.
And Kovalev is on my hit list again! Killed some valuable PP time by skating like a snail and gave a pass straight onto a Bruins stick!

We may have made the first goal but that went to waste!! And just to prove it, Kobasew got the EN. Really drives a stake into the grave.
Cannot WAIT when Breezy, Schneider, Markov, and the other Kostitsyn hit the ice again.

But good news: Wake up call for the Habs! And Robert Lang skated this morning! Yaya~

WASHINGTON WOOOOOON! I gave up the Habs game to watch the Caps shutout the Rangers, biggrin.gif
Varlamov? I like him, biggrin.gif

Anybody read the article about how Ovie went to sit on the visitor's bench while Rangers were skating today? And he admitted he was trynna mess with Tort's head, and felt that they were scared of him, hehehe. Ovechkin is prime.

Onto the Chicago gaaaaaame. 1-0 already, D:

he makes it like HOT HOT HOTlaugh.gif

I actually missed most of the Bruins-Habs game *shameshame* but caught the last period...yay!
Won't comment on much since I watched like...ten minutes? And did Maxy check someone as they were coming off the ice? Not sure, but they showed a recap of something like that...
