I'm watching the IIHF's. I clearly have no life, since I have time to catch all the playoff games and the IIHF games, biggrin.gif
I saw Upshall's hit, :S

I haven't been able to catch the games because I am at work when they are on. Live in the US. When it was in Canada last year, I was able to watch more games.

I think its over for the Flames. I hate the Flames and the Canucks but not really cheering for the Blackhawks either. Love Iginla though.

I feel bad for Iginla. The Flames, hate to use the pun but.., flamed out. You guys were in the driver seat for the NW Division Title. What happened? You got Olli to help you guys. Your GM was active in FA and at the trade deadline.

If you guys played the Blues, it might have been a different outcome.

Sharks ready to flame out too. What a collapse!

Oh the flames, that was overwhelmingly dissapointing too little too late in the third.
Their pp was a complete disaster, pk wasn't much better.
For four straight years, another first round exit, there's so much talent on this team I really expected them to go onto the second round minimum. The injuries leading into the post season were ridiculous.
The young hawks were just better, 'bulin making the big saves.
The crowd was amazing though!

Really four straight first round exits?! I don't feel bad for my team.

For full disclosure sake, I am a Minnesota Wild fan and we were pretty bummed with 2 years straight of first round exits.

Sharks beaten by ducks....

I dunno if anyone saw that but wow to Corey Perry. When he was down, he tied his skates to make sure Ehrhoff didn't have chance to get to the puck. It was so cheap.

^I didn't catch that. Is that even in the rule book? But Joe & Getzlaf's fight. Way to ignite the fire in your team! That was something I'm not gonna forget soon.

Upshall's hit was harsh! Maybe the Hungarian made it worse than it seemed but that was hard! But we still went on to win.
We play tomorrow!

I just wanna get this off of my back:
I am seriously heart broken! Vancouver Giants lost to the Kelowna Rockets today in OT and lemme tell ya', that OT-GWG was some kind of dramatic! Went under review and took an eternity (maybe it was 5 minutes) to be ruled. And it crushed my heart! The moment the ref's arm ruled it a goal, the tears started to flow. I thought I cried hard when the Canucks were out last time, this time around, it was just as many tears (if not more). Now I want to wonder what it will be like with the Canucks because I know for a fact that no matter the outcome, I'm going to let them tears fall.

Lose or win, you still have to go to school, nothing to cry about wink.gif . It is not a life or death situation.

and for the flames fans who wanted the Blues, sure you can have them, we would gladly take the hawks in the first round. The blues were a handful themselves as they were more physical from what I have seen compared to the hawks. The hawks on the other hand even against a injury-plagued flames still had a hard time trying to have a physical presence. But now we shall see what will happen in round 2.

It is going to be one heck of a series but I said that about the blues as well and it turned out it was. Just it ended in 4 games. But this series will take a little bit longer, I hope.

man how i hate upshall .. anyways howw did san jose lose to the ducks. Damn .. i was watching halfway through the 3rd period and it already looked like
they gave up. Just skating slow and not hitting hard enough. Ya corey perry is a little bastard. The only ones on ducks who i respect are scott niedermayer and
teemu selanne. Ever since they changed their name to just "the ducks" from the mighty ducks it just hasnt been the same. Now im rooting for these teams for the cup.

1.Washington
2.Chicago

and if all else fails good ol detroit.

Yeah, I don't know about them Sharks...such good players on one team and epic fail.

If the Caps and Canes win tonight, it will be Ovie vs. STK in the semis. Some advertiser and NHL dreams! More
L-O-V-E and gushing for these two.

Its going to be great matchup for sure. The networks are going crazy right now. I bet they are hoping for a Game 7 just drag out the marketing of this matchup.

The Eastern Conference has more interesting matchups than the West. Except for the Hawks, none of the teams seem interesting.

Then you sure haven't seen the Anahiem vs Detroit series tongue.gif. The Vancouver vs Chicago series will be pretty sweet too since Chicago plays a similar style to St.Louis. But hey, its all personal opinions.

ya man totally agree with you. Im glad carolina won too or else we would be stuck with the boring defensive gameplay from new jersey.

The West will be very interesting but the East just has more drama and rivalries.

I don't think the Ducks vs. Red Wings or the Canucks vs. Hawks has as much of a rivalry. I do like the Ducks and Red Wings -- The last two Cup winners going up against each other. But you can't beat the intense dislike between the Caps and Pens. The off-ice stuff is going to be as interesting as the on-ice stuff.

i just hope they dont broadcast the pens vs caps and the detroit vs anahiem games on cbc hockey night in canada. only because i hate don cherry and how he runs his mouth off about european
players constantly. Then after he bashes them, he shows a canadian player and says "thats the canadian way" or "theres a good canadian boy right there". It really pisses me off. They brang in such an intense style of gameplay to the game. Im canadian and i think thats just BS of him. Guarantee hes gonna go off on washingtons and detroits players.
