^ at least you know it's the leg, and that it's not an unspecified "lower body injury."

I love "upper body injuries." You can either pull a muscle, or have a concussion, and still just have "an upper body injury."

just saw the boston and san jose highlights. aww geeh i hope the boston fans won't take it that hard on joe thornton. cuz really that didn't even seem like that hard of a hit and it was far from looking intentional..it was just like a normal hit

^ hahaha..yea, I thought that was hilarious laugh.gif you know what would've been even more funny? if he actually scored on Theodore tongue.gif

and..pami_fizz you're right. when I watched sportsnet, I was rather shocked it was a penalty at all, nevermind a game misconduct that warranted an ejection from the game o_O I thought that was a clean hit..heck I've been hit like that playing hockey myself blink.gif

oh, before I forget, Happy Birthday, jonogunn. The Canucks would like to wish you happy birthday by giving you a win over the Maple Leafs biggrin.gif

I declare the NHL referee who ejected Joe Thornton yesterday an idiot, in equivalent to the ref who threw out Morris Peterson in recent game in the NBA.

I didn't get to watch the game since it was on PayPerView, but I checked the scores on Sportsnet and saw it was 2-1 Leafs by second period. Then I turn on the tv this morning to see who won and I find they lose 4-3 in regulation =[

Whatever, Auld was really good, stopped 5 shots from Sundin =/
NEWSFLASH: I HAVEN'T BEEN A MODERATOR FOR LIKE 2-3 YEARS, SO STOP MESSAGING ME ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS.

^ when Auld went down clutching that knee, I thought "...wow, the Canucks are so screwed now. So. Very. Very. Screwed. Period."

..thank goodness he stayed in o_O

^ lol same...i was listening on nhl radio and my mind was just like "oh no ouelett gonna be starting goalie and Levesque gonna be back up again if the moose are gone"

columbus beats pittsburgh 6-1...must've been the highest scoring game they had all season. nice to see but crosby need more goals to catch up with ovechkin.

Are you sure? Are the Canucks really screwed if they lost a goalie that allows goals to be scored on him from impossible angles?

^ do you have a better alternative than Auld at this point? Ouellet doesn't look stable, and it'd take time for Flaherty to clear waivers, risking a loss of a goalie. I really don't have anyone else. Auld is as stable as a goalie can be right now for the Canucks.

and despite giving up that goal, I doubt we would've won with Ouellet in net. We were outshot 30-10 in the final two periods, and Auld kept the Canucks in the game. Especially in the end.
