How much of your salary given to your parents every month ? Did you give to your mom or your dad or both ?

I am just curious. ^ ^;; tongue.gif

No necessary to put the exact numbers as we have different range of salary and also diff family finance background, just clue the approximate percentage… wink.gif

And do you think it’s the right amount to give….?

Are you a good and loyal child or opposite, such a …miserly ? laugh.gif

Is it represents your love-gratitude to them or just oblige to do so…?

I will start with mine…

I give my mom about 40 % from my whole salary.
Sometimes 20% and sometimes 60%. Depends on my finance situation, but mostly 40%.
And for my dad about 6 %. Hahaha…. He can’t take too much since my mom doesn’t like it…

Hmh, when my friends asked me how much I gave to parents, they all like, “wow…”
So, sometimes I think it’s a right amount…

I am a nice child if I’m not facing with sudden necessity / interest of buy some new stuff and credit card bills..haha… When I dealing with that stuffs, I feel like I do obligate to do so…

I feel like I need to help parents in finance…my family not wealthy, but also not poor. Just average family.
But to be honest when I looked my friends been able to buy a lot of stuffs nor expensive…I feel bad…
But in the same time, I feel even worst if I didn’t gave my salary to my parents….

Anyway, I haven’t met someone that give 100% of salary to their parents…..
Have you ?

Please share yours...

I give my mom 100% of my first salary....it goes for about a year...hahaha....
but, she still gave me weekly money.....so..yeah.... i don't know...

When i changed job..and got better salary, I gave her the same amount with my first salary and didn't received weekly money again....

And now..ehm...i gave her about 30-40%.

Of course its love.... ehm... we should give them...
anyway we need to 'pay' at least a little from they love....

I give my dad gas money once in a while.

... Yeah that's about it.

Sorry guys, but I don't objectively measure love for my parents with money. *cough*

In my country's currency...
I earn like 16k per month, and I give my parent 1.5k every month.

I used to give my mom rent and help out with the car insurance.
I gave her $350 every month. Not anymore though wink.gif
Hoping to fix that soon.

Hmm.. I sometimes work for my parents, and the money I make, it just goes straight to them haha. But it's okay because they pay for my stuff anyways.

I always chip in $450 every month. They tell me I don't have to, but I think it's only right now that I've started working full-time. Plan to bump it up to $500 if I get a pay raise. However, not having any high hopes for a raise given the bad economy and cheapness of my boss laugh.gif

Since I'm in college and don't need much if any money, I try to give my parents all the money I make. They have things to pay off whereas I only really need $50 per month for random things. So I give them the money partly because I feel I have to, but even if they were really wealthy I think I'd do the same (maybe not to such a degree, but close) because I feel I owe them/plus I still would have no practical use for the money. If I had too much I think I'd spend too much, though I can't imagine it being possible for someone without rent or a car to spend thousands in a month without having to try really hard.

Financial circumstances are so different from family to family that I don't think it makes sense for one person to look at what another person does with his/her paycheck and feel bad (or good). Plus I'd like to think that even if I didn't have a job, I would find some other way to show my parents/family how much I love them anyway :-D I mean, I like that I get to do it, and I admit it makes me feel like a better person, but it wouldn't be a sin for me to focus on my studies rather than on work instead.
