-Edit:
I'm an idiot. xD I looked on the Nissan website & the 370Z comes in Platinum Graphite- Very similar to the G's Amethyst Graphite! =O It's sooo sexy!

I was 18 when I got my first car.
It was a used car and my parent did help a little. 2k. (That's their idea of being fair to all the kids.)
Saving up for a new car??? Do your research...it not bad to look into a used car as your first car.
First year university and 2 JOB...i don't think so...
You will be pushing yourself toooo hard...
Do take into factor?
How much you can afford? Consider gas, insurance, maintenance of the car( usually when the car are newer they are more expensive)
R u going to be living on campus? Apartment? If it near the college- don't buy a car(well...do get a car if your parent lives far, but if they don't, don't)
hope this help a little...

I got my first car when I was 22, right after I had graduated college & obtained a job. My parents helped out with $500 downpayment, I put in an additional $2500.
I pay for my own monthly payments, my own gas, my car insurance, etc. It adds up....I am never buying a new car again. I hope my current car lasts forever so I never have to switch.
Since your income is not necessarily stable & new car payments can last for years...I say go for a used one. You can get a nice used one these days...then when you're ready to upgrade, trade it in.
