Anyways, if I just have one tooth each on the top or bottom that is slightly farther back, does anyone know if I'll be able to get invisalign to fix this?

I think Invisalign would fix it, as long as it doesn't need to rotated.
If its not too bad really think over getting Invisalign or just getting braces.
I have Invisalign, but I kind of regret it because I only needed a year - a year & a half of fixing.
but didn't want to actually have braces. I would have saved my parents a lot of money, too.
I think my Invisalign was 5.2k and insurance only covered 2 or 3 thousand don't remember.
Anyways, hope you find a solution

I thought I was suitable for invisalign since my teeth weren't that crooked, but both my dentist and orthro recommended traditional braces.
I just got my braces out 4 months ago and it feels great. I don't see whats wrong with getting them when your a college. It's not like its high school all over again and besides it'll be worth it, trust me.
The only thing I'm gonna have to get used to is the permanent back braces on my bottom teeth since its really easy for it to get crooked.
Anyways, I'd say if your a candidate for invisalign why not try it? If not, go with the traditional braces and remember, floss floss floss!!

Braces are better imo b/c you won't be tempted to remove it w/o the orthodontist.
Invisalign lets you remove it and if you're able to cope with the pain w/o removing it, then you're fine.
Besides, invisalign is mainly used as a retainer.....
I have it as a retainer right now ^^;
No pain, no gain ,right?

and perhaps your dentist changed his or her mind because your teeth shifted or something.
as a rule of thumb, invisalign is recommended for patients with less severe cases. ie no insanely underbite, overbite etc.
so probably do some sort of consultation first.
and also just because you look at your teeth and they look straight, doesnt mean everything is where it should be. so take that into account and listen to your orthodontist!

It is trite to speak of a broken heart. Hearts are not broken; they continue to beat, the blood still courses, even in the bitter after-days of betrayal. But something IS broken when pain beyond words is suffered; some connexion that formerly existed with light and hope and bright mornings is severed, and can never be restored.

and kmalancer, crooked teeth have NOTHING to do with how well you take care of your teeth. It's an inherited trait. I've never had a cavity or any other dental problem in my life.

Some people are born with teeth that isn't their fault due to genetics. These people take care of their teeth as much as possible but sometimes that isn't enough and the next step is braces. Don't assume the other person didn't take care of their teeth and it's their fault for needing braces.

taking care of your teeth have NOTHING absolutely NOTHING to do with teeth straightness or under/over bites
its genetic and sometimes its inevitable.
ive taken care of my teeth very well, had a few cavities when i was younger, but my teeth are somewhat crooked =[
my dentist claims i might not need braces, since its not that crooked but when i was younger, she said id need them...
so iono...
quick edt: well im vain so id go with invisalign xD
BUT if you go with brraces, you can use those rubber bands and make patterns =] and have them match you out fits
