i thoguht it should be the opposite of what should be happening
since summer started ive been hitting the gym twice a day ( mostly ) or at least once a day .
first time i go i do cardio on the elipitical until i run three miles or some days i run the full 60
secound time i go i lift .
and my eatting habits got better but still need fixing up , but overall i dont understand why my legs feel so weak and i feel like i have no energy at all . some how i always pull through but today i didnt couldnt finish three miles and didnt go lift.
some more info
i dont strech before i run , i strech after i run
i do abs after i run , but every other day
i drink muscle milk after i lift
i eat like two meals a day with "snacks" in between
i go to sleep around 2-3 am wake up at 12-3pm
this really makes me mad cuz i skipped my tricking session because i felt like mini cooper !

do you get enough sleep?
are you eating enough calories?
do you take a multivitamin/fish oil/pro biotic?
also, you should only be hitting the gym once a day and your sessions should be 2Hrs AT THE MOST.
your cardio sessions shouldn't be like 2 hours long, jesus christ lol. keep it to about 20~30minutes
you're supposed to be building strength in your legs by hitting some squats. you can't expect your legs to get ripped by running a mile everyday.
i hope you're not one of those guys who go to the gym to only workout their biceps/chest/abs.
i also hope you're not one of those guys that do bicep curls with the barbell inside the squat rack.

my leg is aching and dying and it gets all heavy and such.
i think it's the way i run.
i notice that i place my feet all whack when they hit the ground.
how are we even suppose to run?
i mean, full feet on the floor,
cause i feel like im just kicking kicking through my miles.
i unno.

and also, stretching before work outs will help prevent injuries. stretching afterward usually increases your flexibility.

Just kidding. Were you this active before? If not, then give your body 1-2 days of rest, then you'll probably be back to normal. Otherwise, just push yourself to exercise. In my experience, the more I continued to exercise without any breaks, the soreness vanished like after a week or so, but hey, that's just me. Good luck!

and when i do cardio im only there for a hour max . then i go back to lift later that night .
leah : i used to alternate it going once a day cardio one day and lift the other but i felt like i wasnt working hard enough so i started going twice a day , since im going to start school soon trying to get in as much exercise i can get .
laris : my workout is during the day around 3 or 4 i go run on the epliptical until i reach three miles thats usally around 40 mintues ? i start out 7 resistance then go up by 2 each mile so last mile im about up to 11 resistance. after i strech my legs then go home ! then around eight or nine i lift only one muscle though so for example i do biceps only . andd pretty much repeat but do a different muscle for lifting the next day. i drink muscle milk after i lift and i still eat a lot sorta but i cut back on rice. and i definatly get enough sleep haha i get at least 10 hours a day.
M.understood : yes i was always this active but i just stepped it up a bit . and it not really soreness my mucsles feel weak , rather than sore they dont hurt but feels like i dont want to walk because i might not make it to wherever ( but its really not that severe jsut feeels like it but i can tottaly walk/run just feels werid)

i still think u are being too hard on your body by working out so much, it's not healthy. i just googled ur symptoms and similar case showed up:
There are some simple causes for the symptoms you are experiencing. One is that you are pushing yourself too hard. Remember that you have not exercised in a while and have been through a physically & emotionally tough time. I would do a greater variety of exercise at a lower intensity, instead of working heavy using the same major muscle groups each time. Be good to yourself!
The second is your high protein diet. With any high protein diet one should never go longer than 2 weeks without eating high quality carbs. If you exclude carbs from your diet for longer your body begins to break down muscle tissue, which can cause exactly the symptoms you are experiencing--muscle weakness & the jello feeling.
So my answer is NO; do not push and ignore this feeling! I would first begin eating carbs (veggies, grains, berries) and see if your energy returns after a week or two. During this time I would do light walking and no weights. If you do not feel better after reintroducing carbs you really should consult with your doctor.
If you are feeling better you can then begin your weights again, but please start light & easy and vary your exercises so that all of your muscles get worked, not just your lats & quads. Look at the exercise routines at self.com & shape.com for ideas.

recommendations are basically what everyone's been telling you: take it easy!

consider learning how to squat with proper form and lunges. leg pressing is nice, but NOTHING beats squatting. (someone correct me if i'm wrong) honestly, squatting and deadlifting hit so many muscle groups if you do em right.
and also try cardio after lifting. an hour seems like a lot to me. i only hit swimming for about 20~30 minutes and i'm pooped, but it works out for me.

That's 9-13hrs of sleep, do you usually sleep around 11 hours? Most people don't sleep that much once they hit high school and beyond.Do you think you might have sleep apnoea or is it noisy/bright through most of your sleep? Do you have the flu?
In any case you'll wake up in a fasted state, which is quite normal (even therapeutic, but that's another story) for most people but if you're quite lean already and you feel like your body's been digesting itself when you sleep, then what you can do is have a light meal an hour or so before bed (food actually helps you fall asleep quicker, and you get better quality sleep). Don't believe the whole "eating before bed makes you fat" thing - it's calories in/calories out. Actually, the conversion of energy to fat, storage, release, and reconversion into energy is, in itself, an energy-consuming process so by having a bite before bed and not needing such a large meal in the morning as a metabolic kickstart, it might actually work out better for people with certain goals.
