You talk to someone online that you haven't seen/hung out with in like 3+ years in real life, or simply people you suddenly lost in touch with after let's say, moving to a new town? I miss a lot of kids I went to elementary school with and surprisingly I remember a lot of the kids, and sadly, late elementary school was the only period in my life that was memorable before I moved into a new town I absolutely hate starting junior high up to where I am now, high school senior year. I don't know if this is normal but I just think of the past, and I remember the kids. I've added them on facebook. Have hung out with some of them like 3 years ago when I visited my old town. It's just good to see and kind of sad as well to see the friends I added on my buddy list back in 6th grade still online on my buddy list, cuz I've had the same screen name for like 7 years now. And when I want to IM them cuz I miss some of them for some reason, I hesitate cuz I feel awkward, and I don't know why this feeling comes into me. Maybe a lot of them don't remember me =X I really don't know how to describe it. It'd be really awkward for me to go on a guy or girl's facebook or anything, who I haven't seen in 5-6 years, (I remember them, they probably don't remember me), and be like hey how are you? Am I the only person with this strange feeling It's kind of sad

Haha, I always feel that when I remember a person, they won't necessarily remember me, so I hesitate.

But actually, they are really good at remembering me too. X_X And I'm surprised when I get greetings from old friends and stuff. x3

It's worth a try. They'll probably remember you if you have that much memory of them. ;P

Ahh I know how you feel. I moved a lot in my life, like about 15 times?
And one elementary school was most memorable to me cause I had a lot of friends who I liked there..
but then now that I moved away and am in high school, I still think of the past and want to talk to them; see how they're doing...
Well, I found a few of my friends on facebook, so I messaged them, asking you know, if they remembered me, and like how they're doing and stuff...
But the conversation doesn't really carry that long.. it's just like a heads-up on what's been up..
Only one of my friends I've gotten close with again.

So don't be scared, just give them an im/message, ask them what's up/do you remember me/talk about past kind of thing xD
If they don't respond or remember, oh well... I guess that's just that.

well i feel hesitant because i feel nervous. not exactly awkward.
everyone's grown up now. it happened to me recently.
i hung out with my friend this week who i havent seen in 6 years.

it was OK. he kept telling me i was quiet and when we said bye he said
"stop being so weird." he didnt mean it in a bad way since he messes around all the time online.
just talk to them! dont think about the awkwardness. it'll turn out better than you'd think

yeah...especially when they don't remember you back. Like if you comment on their facebook or whatever and all you get is a "what??? who are you???" reply, its super awkward because then you have to try to make them remember you lol ^^'

yeah it is arkward sometimes. especially when their the mean ones in your school whom wants meets up with you because they feel guilty of being mean to you at school.

Yes it is awkward.
I had a best friend in 1st grade and I moved right after. I found her again after high school and I saw her when I went to take my SATs. Surprisingly, she's really good friends with one of my cousins. But when I saw her, it was awkward. We didn't know what to say to each other. o_o

I haven't been in contact with some of my primary friends for about 6-7 years.
So yeah, i suppose it can be awkward at times o_O
But sometimes i find them on Facebook or they find me xD

yeah i get what you mean. it sucks when they dont remember you and you have to remind them, and they're like OHH YEAH!! WOW YOUVE CHANGED SO MUCH etc. and then you think have i really changed that much?

Lol...(: its not weird actually i still keep in touch with my kindergardens friends even though i havent seen them for 4 years...i talk to them through yahoo..talk bout school and all.
I moved to a new country when i was 11 and the only memorable time i had was my childhood so its nice to get to talk to them once in a while.
I have short term memories on little thing but for things like these i dont think ill able to forget.
