Ok, so anybody in California knows what I'm talking about. Boiling Crab is a seafood place that sells food like crawfish, shrimp, lobster, crab, all in their delicious mouthwatering, sinfully good sauce! They've got cajun fries, sweet potato fries, cajun/lemon-pepper wings, fried catfish, fried shrimp, fried oysters...And a whole lotta other stuff! There's not utensils or plates here! You eat with your hands, and all they do is spread a huge piece of butcher paper over the table, plop your bag of seafood on the table and you dig in! I really can't give any explanation that will do this place justice, but here's some pics that I found around the internet.

+++ANDDD, all the other people that have tried crawfish from other places (especially those that didn't like it), trust me, you will change your mind once you've tasted BC.

Sweet potato fries

Fried shrimp

Cajun wings

Fried Catfish

Cajun Fries

Crawfish

RANDOM PPL...but that's the eating arrangements lol

ohh there's one near my house.. next to target. i went there last week for the first time.. and it was pretty croweded, lotsa young asian crowds. we had to wait 1 & 1/2 hours for seats .. @_@

my friends ordered some cajun wings and it was very lemony.. the french fries and fried calamari was pretty good. i ordered the lobster and i had no idea how much it was since it said seasonal price. i assumed it was 10 bucks or something haha laugh.gif i was about to get xxx for the spicyness, the guy asked me if i was sure, i was quickly intimated and changed it to medium

they put this big white paper over the table and some plastic bibs. biggrin.gif when i got the lobster, it was in a bucket and plastic bag. haha it was pretty hardcore ripping out the lobster piece by piece. when i was done, it looked like i vomited on the bag because it was soo messy and the lobsters organ and crap. blahh

when we get our checks, the price went to &6x.xx!!! it turned out the lobster was $37.xx!! it was soo expensive! i didnt expect it to be that much.. good thing my friend was there to help me pay.. D:

yea when you guys order from the category "get down n dirty" be sure to check the price.. ahaha and be sure to bring your water bottle! they charge 25 cents for h20.. =/

cajun corners fries are still better!!

i don't know how to compare crawfish places by their crawfish..but crawfish in general is soooooo good. just..its a pain with so much work for such little reward.

haha, leek_riceball, I love Cajun Corner fries too! But I don't think it's cheaper, since the amount they give is a lot smaller. It's like 4 orders of CC fries=1 basket of BC fries.

DUMBBUTTXP, there's a couple in Orange County, and another in San Jose, I think.

Misao, OUCH, sucks you had to pay so much more than you expected. But yeah, I think lobster anywhere would be pretty expensive, so just a warning before you order it at any other restaurant lol!

I went there for the first time a couple days ago with my family and it was sooooo goood! I love how they have these plastic bibs for us too haha I wanted to keep mine but I ended up ripping it by accident. Oh well. My sister and her boyfriend have gone there about 3 times this month so far.. they absolutely love the boiling crab and got really excited about going. The shrimp is like the best. The cajun chicken wings & fries were also pretty good.

I will say if you do plan to eat there, be prepared to wait for a bit cause it's really busy, even on a weekday it's like really packed and people are still waiting inside and outside for a table. I kind of enjoyed reading the messages on the walls that people wrote while we were waiting though, haha.

haha it's like the cheapest place ever.
No plates or utensils, butcher paper over the table, charges for water & tartar sauce.
& service isn't that great.

Not my kind of place. They don't even give you another bag to put the trash. Too dirty for me.

They have sweet potato fries? I know they have cajun fries but i've never seen sweet potato fries on the menu.

Boiling Crab is good but the wait is ridiculous. The service is actually really good. I've been to the one in OC and 626. Service is good but the wait is REALLLY bad. I don't even want to bother going there anymore because it takes so long to get seated. My bf and I went like 2 weeks ago and we ended up having to wait like 2+ hours.

We've been there quite a few times and everytime we go the wait is bad.

I need to visit this place. Big Red crabs are my passion and I just like to have them. It’s so yummy. I especially like to have red crabs with sweet corn soup and noodles. Try it out! It’s delicious.
