This is kinda off topic but is it true that you shouldn't eat papaya when you're pregnant? I keep hearing that from adults.

crushed fresh chilis with garlic in a pistol/mantel thingy. is that what its called?...if you dont have one ..then use a bowl or something..anyways..you add the shredded papaya, tomatoes, fish sauce, shrimp paste, preserved fish in laos you call it pa dak.lol anyways..lime, sugar, msg..those are the basics but you can basically add anything you want, mix em..and yeah that what you get...season to your likings.... hope that helps.

shredded papaya
tomatoes (cherry tomatoes are best)
sugar
lime
fish sauce and if you're really awesome you'll get padak too (cured fish sauce) I don't know what else to call it
crab paste (optional)
shrimp paste (optional)
MSG (optional)
mortar and pestal
garlic
peppers (thai chili peppers work best0
so bascially start off my putting the peppers, garlic, shrimp and crab in the mortar and pestal and grind it to a paste consistancy, then add the rest of the ingredients to take and serving amount...
enjoy
