If you've had practice in driving before through instruction and are comfortable with driving, if you relax, you should have no problem passing the test.

From my friends who passed they all said to check your mirrors/blind spots like crazy and definitely no speeding.
Are you good at parallel parking? I keep on hitting the curb or parking 12 inches + away from the curb. D:

yeah im pretty good at parallel parking i never hit a curb yet..my teacher sometimes says i parked it too close to the curb and i still manage to go reverse without any difficulty..when park i look at the side mirror alot but my teacher says to look in front while parking..but i cant see if my car is close to the curb or not haha..my permit expires on 8/29 and theres barely any room for appointments! but i got one at newhall..what about you? and good luck to you as well! also during the test if im on a road that is 35 mph and the other cars around me are going way over 35 should i go over as well and keep up with the flow of traffic or should i stay at 35 mph the whole time? also its ok to be going at around 33 mph instead of 35 right?because when im at 35 mph i tend to go over a little

DO NOT GO THEIR SPEED. YOU WILL FAIL IF YOU DO. Overspeeding is the number one cause of failures on roadtests. The evaluators will not care if you're under as long as you're at or under the speed limit and driving legally. That's what my instructor told me, and he also told me to work on my speed control as well. Once you pass, THEN you can go their speed.
I'll be going in for my road test on September 30th, and the evaluators in my city are either nice or the worst experience ever.
Life without love is like eating fries without the ketchup.

From what I heard, exaggerate everything you do. I'm in San Jose, CA. When you turn to check over the shoulder, turn a lot. Not just flick your head. My friend also said when she went through a 4-way with a green light for her, she got docked off points because she didn't look left or right. Apparently you have to watch out for reckless, red-light speeding drivers too.

Ahh nice for not hitting the curb! I have horrible space judgement, all i see is the curb disappearing but i don't know how far to keep on reversing. I must practice more.
I live in Indiana so totally different place. Sorry about that. haha.
Just go 35 mph or lower. Do not go over ever!!
Keep us updated on how it went. I bet you will do great.

If you are unsure of where the evaluator tells you to go, or you just need reassurance, do not be afraid to ask
KATE SPADE bag --- DOONEY&B satchel --- HCO jacket

When I took it I was extremelyyyyy nervous. Like I could barely focus. I blame my mom for not letting me practice driving. When I took the test I had practiced under 5 times. -__- And to add to that, it rained that day. But I passed.. barely though. Haha.
Just be as confident as you can possibly be. Over exaggerate.. like turn your heads fully at stop signs, changing lanes, etc. TAKE YOUR TIME. Not too much though, but don't speed.. nor go extraa slow. Check mirrors constantly while driving. Often testers will not look at you while you drive. They tested so many people that it looks like they just look straight at all times.. but really they look at you from the corner of their eye. So that's why it's important to exaggerate your moves. Oh and make sure you know your hand signals (http://www.golocalnet.net/drive/handsigs.htm).
Practice the parking near curb and backing up thing that your instructor should have taught you. Look in all mirrors and signal! I guess that's the hardest part I suppose.

If everybody's driving 35 mph in a 25 mph zone, stay under 25. If the evaluator looks over at your speedometer and you're past the speed limit, automatic fail.
Don't cut other cars because the evaluator asks u to change lanes. If you cut a car and he/she sees it, automatic fail.
Yellow light? Better to stop than to go through unless you're at what they call "point of no return." Otherwise, automatic fail if you're still in the intersection and it's red.
Pedestrian about to cross intersection? Yield, otherwise, automatic fail.
Hit something? Automatic fail
Cursing your evaluator for deducting points? Automatic fail.
Road rage? Automatic fail
Well you get the point. lol

If you plan to make a right turn in the far right lane at a red light, be sure to make a full stop behind the line before making your turn. I think people say you should wait 3 seconds before turning. If you can't see because cars are in your way, I believe you can creep up a bit but make a full stop before you turn. Also be sure to look out for people making u-turns.
Also, yeah I agree that you should over-emphasize your movements. Like Trinity <3 says, don't forget to look when turning near a dotted bike lane.

but more turned around. I think your friend meant that if you just use the side view mirrors to back out, then you get docked points.

lol, if you took the written test and got the question right... you should know that you should always go by the posted speed limit (or slower than), not the flow of the cars.
Hey, me too! Haha.
