I passed my permit test on my first try at the age of 15.
I passed my driving test on my first try at the age of 16.
I passed my m1 permit test on my first try at the age of 19.
I passed my m1 test on my first try at the age of 20.

If I can pass my tests in school, I would have been on a roll.

Follow the speed limit NO MATTER WHAT. Exaggerate a lot with head turns. Use turn signals when turning. Look both left or right. And when you're making a turn, wait for all right of way cars to go first. Even if you see an incoming car 100 feet away, still wait. My sister failed because she turned before letting all the cars go. Even when they were pretty much far away and you have enough time to turn, just wait.

i'm 16 and happily passed my CA DMV driver test on my first try and got my license! this was like a month ago or so too. (: Make sure your driving the posted speed limit, BE CAREFUL DON'T GO OVER OR UNDDDER <- ( people say driving slower is good but it's NOT )

DON'T STRIKE OJECTS

MAKES SURE YOU KNOW THE STUFF IN YOUR CARS, LIKE TURNINGLITES AND STUFF (:

There is more.. but just.. google it : D ahah

Relax. Don't think about things like "when is this going to be over?" or "I hope it ends soon". Just take the test and drive. Drive as if you'll be driving for at least 30 minutes.

#1 single most important tip: Relax

If you've had practice in driving before through instruction and are comfortable with driving, if you relax, you should have no problem passing the test.

Very well said. smile.gif The very first thing in any type of exam is just feel relax and comfortable. Because if you are in tension or nervous then you can not pass any exam.

Regards,
Olivia

Best tip is to pass sample DMV tests online before visiting DMV office.
Some free online tests can be found on
Practice permit tests

i scheduled a time that was really busy with cars. for me this was great since i didn't have to really pay attention to my speed because the traffic caused a major slow down. i took it in auburn, i don't know if you know where that is in california but it was so hilly and foggy. anyway the most important thing to do is for you is to make sure that your examiner knows you are looking left and right (turn your head, don't just look left and right with your eyes) and don't forget to signal when pulling next to curb and when pulling out of the curb into regular traffic.
