This is my first time in this section of soompi because I want more opinions on the 2010 Mazda 3 Sedan.. or maybe Mazda 3 Sedan's in general. It's because my parents are probably getting me one. I chose Mazda 3 when my dad suggested it without really knowing anything about the car. I just know I didn't want a Civic, Corolla or Camry!

Opinions/Vote please!

Get the Mazda 3 Hatch. Same car overall, but with better storage capacity compared to the sedan. Good car overall, but I'm not a fan of how the car looks, it's not as nice as the previous version.

+1. The Mazda3 is surprisingly a great car. The new updated style is quite flamboyant(?) with the giant smile grill in the front bumper. Most people will agree that the previous model looks a lot better than the new one.

Why not try the Accord? The current generation Accords are nice and the previous generation also. There is also the Mazda6, Altima, and Maxima.

Yeah.. I saw a previous version that I really liked. Lol, my brother suggested the hatchback but I really can't see myself with it :\

Yeah, accord was my next choice. I agree about the looks. Ah, hard decisions.

How can you not? It's a WAY better looking car than the sedan and is more practical. I like the Lancer as well, especially the new Sportback hatch (probably competition to the 3), but the price is a bit up there.

personally i don't like the hatchbacks. i wanted the 09 accord coupe, but i had a budget of 20g so i opted for the 2010 mazda3 sedan and i love it. the smile in the front is a personal preference i guess. i had a friend tell me it brightens up their day every time they see it haha

i looked up reviews on carconnection.com and kia forte and mazda 3 has same rating, lol. plus the kia forte is cheaper.. hmm. my friend said mitsubishi lancer is too manly and he heard it doesn't last long but i don't know. thanks for your recs.

It's a solid car for what it's worth. The C1 platform is golden, built from an amazing partnership between Ford, Volvo, and Mazda. I believe it's making somewhere around 160~ bhp but that should be more than enough for anyone. I know the car has sufficient torque too, so you should be able to drive from a stop light fairly quickly. Not that it should matter.

Yes get it. Ive owned and driven a honda civic sedan lx for the past 5 years and now I recently bought a new black 2010 mazda 3 itouring with the tech package (moonroof/bose system blah blah blah) and needless to say it is a great sexy car for the price. It has great handling, great speed and lots of space and great gas milage (eqivalent to honda civics). I dont know much about cars really to begin with but what I liked best about the new 2010 mazda3 is the new design. I know alot of people dont like the new front bumper look but I love it..i dont mind the "smiling" face in the front and in fact compared to the old mazda3 front bumper designs I think the 2010 design is an improvement and it makes the car look more sportier...just my opinion. I love this car and im sure you will too.

Mazda 3 speed

The cars nowadays don't even really appeal to me but the new mazda3speed is something I'd really consider getting if i didn't already have a car.
