I've been browsing around the net for awhile for a topic to write about for school and I stumbled across the Canon sd400 powershot. The majority of the people who own it seem to love it. So, I thought this would be something nice to write about. I've never owned one but it seems alot of you do. ( The article is suppose to be about a trend and why it's 'better than the others' )
Here are just some questions I want to know. You don't have to answer all of these questions, some will be fine.
What do you like most about it? Favourite features/functions (other than portability)
How much did you get it for? ( specifically looking for the CDN price but others would be fine too)
Was it worth it?
How's the picture quality, screen, flash, style? ( please don't give simple answers like " the quality is great" or " I love the screen" Could you explain in more detail why you like it? Better colours, clearer pic? I know it seems like alot but i don't have the camera so i wouldn't know what your talkingabout.)
And anything else you want to add about Canon sd400 powershot
Thanks and I greatly appreciate you guys for wasting your time on this.

I think everyone on these forums loves Canon, unconditionally. I don't, I like Canon, but I don't own an SD I own a Nikon. So ya. There's clear reviews and picture tests at www.steves-digicams.com and www.dpreview.com .. those sites should answer all of the questions you had posted.. I think Steve's has like 10 pages of information on each camera he reviews from batterylife to shutter delay or ISO and menu capabilities.. or even how it feels.
Sorry that I can't really answer any of the questions myself, but I'm pretty sure you can't really go wrong with a Canon as long as you're willing to pay for it.

i read the pictures are a bit on the soft side and the SD series arent good at sharp pictures.
Nikon, Kodak, or olympus would be your top choices for sharp pictures
try the
-stylus 600/800
-k550
or try the canon powershot
know this
smaller the camera, smaller the sensor meaning they gotta cram more pixels into each thing on the sensor so it looks a bit blurred
more megapix doesnt mean better picture, just means bigger. keep that in mind.

What do you like most about it? Favourite features/functions (other than portability) how small it is. (: and i like the digital macro (i think that's what it's called) function. and idk. the video. pretty much everything, lol.
How much did you get it for? ( specifically looking for the CDN price but others would be fine too) $400
Was it worth it? yes. (:

I know it seems like alot but i don't have the camera so i wouldn't know what your talkingabout.) well, i can change the colors of the pictures. like vivid or black & white or sepia...and others. i can change the picture sizes, making it from like fine to superfine (i think there's a "postcard" option as well), so the pictures come out very clear. i can also change the brightness of the picture. like if it's too bright, i can dim the light in my picture, etc.
yeah, i just pretty much love my camera, haha. (:
