So, me and one of my friends always joke around that the taller a guy is the more popular he is with the ladies regardless of looks or style lol. But in all seriousness for you girls, can being a tall guy make up for any other physical/aesthetic shortcomings, like average looks or being out of shape. The way I see it a tall average looking guy would probably attract more girls than a goodlooking guy with average or short height. Just wondering.

No, I don't think height can make up for what he's lacking. My friend had a really tall boyfriend but he wasn't very good looking and he was a jerk. Needless to say his height didn't change much of his overall look.

I think a good looking average guy would attract more girls but that's just my opinion.

i think it matters with preference.. i know that i like tall guys but that doesn't rule out all other guys who are medium height or a bit taller than me
furthermore, for me, most of the tall guys i've met are skinny or average.. i really haven't seen a fat tall guy
.... and to go back to your question, i don't think that being tall overrules other shortcomings..being tall is just an attribute

i went out with a tall fat guy who was below average in looks i'd say, that didnt last very long

If a guy is ugly and tall... then he's an ugly tall guy. I don't think his height would somehow take away from his face.
That's the way I see it. Much rather be with a guy my height that's cute than a tall guy that's not so attractive. Ugly is ugly.

Since we're disregarding personality completely and focusing on just looks, I'll be as shallow and simple as I can. I'll pick the good looking guy with average height. Height isn't as big of a factor to me as how physically appealing someone's face is. Also, tall guys come off as skinny to me. I like the slightly chubby ones... don't ask.

Nope, not all tall guys have the luck. Trust me, they don't.
Girls tend to think them as 'model' like and think they're hot.

I've seen tall, short, and chubby guys who had a personality that was likable.

And I've seen plenty of Girl's who dated shorter guys.

No, I think the attractive guy would most likely win out over a guy who is just tall. At least from my perspective. But then again, height isn't a big deal to me but a person's face and whether or not I find it attractive is.

If we're strictly talking about the looks only, I'd go for the tall guy. I'm a short person and I would want a tall guy just so that my future kids could be at least decently tall. lol. The attractiveness isn't a big deal breaker for me because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, he'll become more handsome in my eyes as time goes by. lol.

Being tall isn't everything... for sure being tall doesn't mean good looking either. If a tall regular okay looking guy compare to a average tall okay looking guy, the tall guy might win only if his personality wins the girl over. But if it the average tall guy was good looking compared to a okay looking guy, the average tall guy will win, unless the tall guy has a good personality.

So height isn't everything... its just something good to have but its not the only item on the girls' wish list.

I usually like really tall guys, but if you're really attractive looking and at an average height then I would most likely be physically attracted to you. In both cases I would prefer someone who is physically fit. Personality also helps a lot to make up for "physical flaws" in people.

I used to care a lot about height... but not so much anymore. My ex-ex was 6'1" and my ex was about 5'7"? So... it's a pretty big difference lol. But I learned that height isn't a big deal. I mean, I could definitely get a tall guy if I wanted to... but there is so much more to be picky about!

Tall guys are cool, but I prefer guys who are more average height. Like Around 5'7 (give or take a few inches) Because I'm only 5'2 and I feel very tiny and short when I'm standing next to someone who is like 6'0+ lol.

As far as physical attractiveness goes, height does not make up for someone with a really unattractive face or crappy personality (more so personality).

It depends on the girl or perhaps, what is a "tall" guy in their perspective. I'm 5'7" and I want a guy taller than me, so that might be why I like guys that are like 5'8"+ but then most girls are like 5'4"-5'5" and I am sure they don't mind the guy being 5'6. Also, if the tall guy was ugly or a bit overweight but had a nice personality I'd still give it thought before I dated him, I'd probably pick the guy closer to my height with a good looking face/awesome personality
