Some say that the dreamer will create the most magnificent stories and paintings you will ever experience.
Some say that the dreamer is meant to be crushed by the harsh realism of life and just isn't meant to survive.

Let's define a dreamer as someone who likes to think up things that are probably not going to happen in their lives.

I hope this doesn't count as a philosophy thread, I intend to make it more like an opinion thing
What do you think of it? I'm just curious~

lol, everything is philosophy if you think about.
Supposing your definition of a dreamer, I think it's ok to have wild fantasies and escape reality.

In fact, those that dream big I find are more capable of thinking outside the box, more optimistic about things and more willing to try different things.

They always have interesting ideas even though you feel it just won't work. Reminds me of tengen toppa gurren lagann.
You never know how these crazy ideas will be a big hit.

It's like bill gates with his computer fantasy. lol he's crazy, dropping out of university. He's not going to be successful then, right?

Being a dreamer is a risky occupation, you either make it or break it. All dreamers will end up in failure at one point in their lifetimes, and only a hand few can grow from that and maneuver through the obstacles. Everyone can be a dreamer and actually succeed if they persevere to the end. Yes, I mean the end, not the beginning, nor halfway in the middle, the end. Bleh, I sound too optimistic. Never mind, I believe everyone is doomed to failures and misery. That's why dreams are only seen at sleep, because they'll never become reality. Harharhar. I'm so baaad.
Bleh.

Everyone who has a goal and even an inkling of hope regarding how his/her future turns out is a dreamer. Some don't dream as big as others, but, nevertheless, they're all dreamers. It doesn't matter if the dream is visualizing a artistic masterpiece or working to become the president or wanting to make a difference.
I think it's a wonderful thing for someone to have a dream and to be working towards something at least...keeps them going even if life sucks at the moment or etc..

I think that being a dreamer isn't the only thing that will lead to success if you want to be, lets say, an artist. you also need to be realistic and have luck on your side. You might be a dreamer, but make paintings that doesn't appeal to a lot of people, so sometimes being a dreamer can lead you to make works that will just end up as being pieces of self fulfillment.

i believe in both sides of the story. being a dreamer makes life more positive but reality can really kill just about anything.
