Do it like the kindergardeners do and practice writing and re-writing your alphabet slowly and legibly until you get the hang of it?

I remember I used to try and emulate this girl's handwriting... it worked for about a year because I sat next to her every day, heh.

If you want to improve your handwriting, I think you should go back to the basics. Get a workbook where you can trace letters of the alphabet. Over time, that should help evolve your handwriting.
Good luck!

Practice, practice, practice!

That's what I did, and now everyone is envious of my writing, LOL.

Yes, a very good penmanship is essential. I'm re-making my handwriting as of now; experimenting on styles and such.
A good handwriting needs to look clean. Professors in college won't bother reading your paperwork when your handwriting is bad.

When I was in high school I bought an exercise book, the one they use for elementary kids. My righting improved A LOT, especially my cursive.
I never even finished until the letter Z, only halfway through the alphabet. I would only do it for like 10-15 minutes a day.
The result was really good.

Haha! I did this in 8th grade:

First, write down an alphabet of what you want your new handwriting to look like.
Take it along with you (during school, etc).
Now everytime you need to write, do it very slowly, and precisely, and try to make it look as much as the alphabet on the paper as possible.
After a while of doing this, you will gradually become faster, and your handwriting neater.

Hope this helped! tongue.gif

I borrow something from my female friends with nice handwriting. [Homework or whatever] and try to imitate them. :X
It really works after some time.

Like a few others have suggested, try experimenting. Once you find a "font" that you like, practice writing as much as possible and eventually, you will have no problem writing in it without feeling like you have to do a good job.

I wish I can improve my speed when it comes to writing. My writing is extremely neat and people comment about it all the time (at school, at work, etc), but I write slow!

Practice makes perfect.

I used to have a terrible handwriting but after all that practicing, doodling, etc, I got in hand of it.

I changed my handwriting back in 5th grade and overtime it just developed. Now people say they love my handwriting even though I think it's not all that great.

It just takes time with practice like all said.

i redid my whole alphabet one day when i was bored. i wanted to write in random capital & lowercase letters so i got out a piece of paper & wrote down how my alphabet would look like & forced myself to write like that for a few days & i got the hang of it. i guess the same could apply for improving handwriting. just pay attention to every letter & if you think it looks bad, erase it & write it again until you're satisfied.
