dude they just had to go and turn a good mix of gd & epik high (props to cityincolors) into something more....
there are wannabes and followers everywhere, epik high called out the music industry as a whole.
it is highly unlikely that epik high singled out GD's solo album and YGE, because
- kang hye jung is part of YG
- tablo has said good things abt bigbang a few times
- the 2 albums came out within a month of each other (do ppl seriously think epik high heard all of gd songs, paid close attention to the accusations and reactions of ppl, picked out the one song that wasnt being compared with any other song i.e. breathe - and decided they'd write a song abt "wannabes" copying breathe's tempo/song structure, so that ppl would know they're targetting GD? then record and produce the album. then shoot an mv and rehearse for the performance of it........all in 30 or so days? sheeeesh lol doesnt that just sound so ridiculous?)
and there are so many less original artists out there (artists who basically get their songs handed to them...i.e. no originality whatsoever), that GD, bigbang and YG would be one of the last groups of ppl in the k-music business (well mainstream at least) that tablo/epik high would call out.
why? because the ppl @ YGE actually make a constant effort to write/compose/produce their own stuff. thats a lot more than i can say for some other artists/entertainments in korea.
here here!
I agree with the arguments you've put up. It is borderline ridiculous.
I hate that GD's solo, although it's undoubtedly a success, is riddled with so much controversy. He finally put out his solo and he receives accusations in return. I seriously hope he would ignore all of this. If he could learn from this, then go ahead but i don't want this to negatively affect him. He has been slightly depressed before.
YGentertainment appeals to me for that very reason. Their artists produce songs for themselves and even producers are part of the family. Most of the other entertainment industries in korea hire other people. YGftw.
