wait.. im confused. GD sold around 30k copies in two days and this is suppose to be reallly really impressive right? Is Korea different from Japan in their way of judging what's impressive...

There's this group named Arashi in Japan, and they sold more than 500k copies of their album in just three days.

for that reason, i was wondering if there was something wrong with the calculation on how much GD's album was sold. I wish GD's album can sell like that.. that would be amazing!!!!~

@chocox3cat - Korea and Japan album sales are very different as not as many people in Korea actually go out and buy albums now. The whole Korean music industry has been in a recession for several years, which is why you see artists break into avenues other than music. Only a handful of Korean artists actually break the 100k album sales mark, and only one group hit over 400k last year. That said, it really is awesome that GD sold 30k+ copies in just two days - it shows that people are supporting him and/or people are just really curious about the album packaging.

As for the whole "disagreement" thing, I think people are just really bored and don't have much to latch onto over the past few days since entertainment news is so quiet. The boys love to tease each other, and GD-Seungri especially. I don't think GD would play with Seungri as much if he thought that Seungri would actually get upset or if there was so bad-relation between them - it's just family/friends/guys playing, and I think it's cute.

And thanks everyone for all the pictures and news! LOVE the fan-album redesigns - creative just like GD.

Big Bang GDragon reveals that his disagreement with member SeungRi

I just called my Korean friend and asked her to clarify if when we translated for gdheartri@livejournal, she made a mistake. She said she didn't.

If you watch GDTV, the night before this happens, the one where he was showing his room off, there was a part where he was playing with Gaho and a teddy bear. He said that he lived with Seungri in Japan but they can't see each other much nowadays because everyone's busy. And when Gaho started biting the teddy bear, he said that Gaho should bite Seungri like that too when Seungri gets home.

So the next day:

GD complaining about Gaho affectionately.
"Ah, I can't sleep properly nowadays because of the dog~ He keeps on biting my nose! I am so surprised! He keeps on biting my nose."
Then Jiyong was teasing the noona behind him (wearing blue) and suddenly, Seungri is dragged into the conversation just because.
"You're dead! When Gaho gets bigger, I will make Gaho bite you and Seungri!"
Then the noona was surprised why Seungri was dragged into the convo and said.
"Why with Seungri?"
And GD said,
"No, it's not like that, it's just that Seungri doesn't care about me, really."
Then Kush butts in.
"I heard there are rumors that there are Bigbang members who aren't close to each other. Is it true?"
GD immediately takes interest and hurriedly asks Kush.
"With who? Who's not close with who?"
Kush answers, laughing.
"You and Seungri."
And GD says.
"Ah, hyung, that's right. It's not that we're not close, it's just that I'm a loner."


GD was just being bitter about Seungri not coming to his MV shooting and being so busy with his musical. This can further be proved when a clip of Seungri and Daesung was shown saying sorry for not making it and GD was being all bratty and complaining that he went to Seungri's MV shooting and that Seungri is not getting anymore parts in future Bigbang songs (like what he did in KM Idol World ep 4).

People, it's GD and Seungri. Tom and Jerry. I'm not saying that they do not fight because hey, they're humans but this is just like saying, "There's a rat under the mat." and it suddenly becoming, "There's a dragon in New Zealand!" when it reaches the other end of the world.

wow 30k in just 2 days is really good by Korean standards.chocox3cat you can't compare the Japanese music industry to the Korean one. firstly, Korea is much smaller in terms of population, and hardly anyone buys actual CDs these days. which explains all the online releases and charts. and secondly, almost no one even in Japan can be compared to Arashi. they are a 10-year old group and their sales and popularity are insane of course i hope GD and BB can sell that much one day in the future. they definitely have the potential and talent to do so.

and i agree that its so quiet these days...not even a new picture or message to the fans from GD or YG. yet his album can still sell like hot cakes. sales will simply skyrocket once he starts promoting on stage! and i think partly because of his album, sales of BB previous albums have been climing up really highly on charts again. even their first single album!! amazing.

ohh GD please do something, anything. GD TV a few mins per week is simply not enough for my Jiyong fix

Along with Teddy I really appreaciate when Kush is involved in the production os YG music, it usually means the final result will be good, if not great.

And as you noticed, it does seem that Jimmy Thornfelt likes to use autotune to attain a certain feel in his works. He was also involved with BB's recent Japanese songs (Emotion, Gara Gara Go and Top of the World. I don't know yet about the other ones in the album though) and those tracks also use the effect quite a bit. I thought he was going to work only with the Japanese releases but now with the Heartbreaker album credits I see he also did more work with YG besides that.

As for GD cussing I think he just wants some sort of attention because at first he never cussed this much. Thats becoming sickening and I know somebody will quickly jump to defend him on this but seriously its really not needed. But as a fan when he seems to do that and it backfires people are so jumpy and always make an excuse for him when he does these things. I think he's a grown man he can take care of himself. GD is human, not god, people. He's a 21 year old boy. You always say, even in your previous post that everything that GD's doing is just for attention. But that really is him. I call them obsessed fans because its so easy to point that fact out. And like I stated before never really watched much gdtv so you can get that out of your mind period. As stated before his cussing on the cds isnt really needed. And people can disagree with me all they want I dont think its right for them to say im a hater because I dont agree with them either. You don't know if he's cussed this much before cause 1, he's never released his own album. He's cussed in some collabs he's done. 2, there was never a GDTV. This is the first time you see their true characters, aside from their documentary. You really can't expect him to be perfect all the time. If you don't like him cussing, don't listen to that specific song with the cussing. There's nothing you can do about GD's personality. If he wants to cuss, he'll cuss. He could care less what people say -- look at the clothes he wears. People bash on it all the time, but does he change it? No.

First of all, calling people who disagree with what you have to say an obsessed fan is uncalled for. It's as bad as us calling you a hater, when we don't agree with you. Very hypocritical of you, cause you said "And people can disagree with me all they want I dont think its right for them to say im a hater because I dont agree with them either." Yeah, there may be others who are more creative than he is but coming to his thread and stating all these things is too much.
