at the first time i came to BB's thread and GD's thread, i was really affected by reading the posts of 'maried' and 'jnshinee' and i felt extremly anxious and upset, although i did do search about GD for a long time then became his fan.

my take on the album...( which no bias because i'm not V.I.P nor gd's fan before i listened to his first solo album)

although i admit that heartbreaker rap hook somewhat similar with one verse on right round by flo.rida

i called it an influence..his album remind me of kanya west's music and some of others...
when u like something it will impact on your own works too..but that of course not a plagiarism whatsoever...
i love that he add a flare of k-pop into that western music and make it into his own kind of music..
his voice is very unique for a rapper but its kind of addictive really..

Personally, I couldn't care less if he swears or not. My friends and I have mouths like sailors, and I think it's a bit bizarre and na�ve to expect a guy in his 20's not to curse.

For those of you that aren't familar with Last.fm's charts, Last.fm is a music service that "scrobbles" (using the software they provide you) the play counts of what you're listening to.

Asian artists usually have a very low chance of appearing in its charts, the last Asian artist I saw appear in the hyped charts was YUI and that was several years ago ;o.

OMG that's awesome that GD appeared on Last.fm's chart! I love all the songs in the Hearbreaker album and have been listening to it 24/7 since it's release. I should get a Last.fm account to keep the hype for GD up, haha. ^^

As for GD cussing I think he just wants some sort of attention because at first he never cussed this much. Thats becoming sickening and I know somebody will quickly jump to defend him on this but seriously its really not needed. I guess he wants to really really find any way to put himself out in the public eye. But as a fan when he seems to do that and it backfires people are so jumpy and always make an excuse for him when he does these things. I think he's a grown man he can take care of himself. I knew some obsessed fan would try to defend his disrespectful actions well thats to be expected on soompi I suppose. I really dont care how old the man is I mean he wasnt really doing it all before why the sudden change of heart is what im saying? I know he's only human were all only human but the difference between me and him is that im not famous so of course nobody but people that like facts are going to agree with me. And I dont really watch much gdtv so if he really cussing alot there so glad I dont watch it. But Im talking more so the songs on his album.

Honestly, GD has been cursing in songs since a while ago. Even in Korean. There's a part in Lie that he curses in Korean and La La La they curse in English on one part. Also there's a part in Documentary episode 11 where he says the 'f' word in a lyric and even in the making of The Real concert video, he cursed when the guys were goofing around. Seungri was filming them and Daesung was imitating TOP. Because of the swear filter I won't bother typing out what he said, but he cursed in English and they didn't censor it out. And that was back in 2006. GD is not all of the sudden cursing to get attention. He's been cursing for a while just like I said. For you, jhshinee, to say that he's cursing just to get attention, it just shows how much you DON'T know about GD.

Although I don't agree with the 'f' word in the documentary where he was younger, now, years later GD is a grown man. He's an adult officially. 21 years (or 22 in Korea)! Last time I checked, adults had the permission to say swear words. Just because GD has young fans doesn't mean he should censor his words. He's not being disrespectful. He's just expressing himself in a way that young kids or people who don't like cursing shouldn't listen to. For kids, it's the parents that should be censoring what their kids are listening to, not GD. Breathe itself is what you would call grown folks music because it's obviously about sex. Kids shouldn't be listening to that and if you (I mean anyone) are a person who doesn't like songs about sex, don't listen to it.

When I was growing up, songs about sex made me uncomfortable. I never blamed the artist. I just didn't listen to the song. Now that I'm 22, songs about sex don't make me uncomfortable. Same with swear words. I didn't like that either growing up, but now that I'm an adult and I say those words myself sometimes, it doesn't bother me to hear them in songs anymore. GD's a grown man. He can curse and sing about sex if he wants. He's also an artist expressing himself and if there's anyone who doesn't like the way he expresses himself, then they can just not listen. It's not like he's being racist, or he is being disrectful to women (calling women B's and H's like some singers/rappers do) or anything like that. So I don't think this should be a big deal about some swear words. If you don't like cursing in songs, don't listen! It really is that simple of a solution. Don't act like GD is a horrible person just because you're not comfortable listening to curse words. No one is forcing you or anyone else to listen to the songs.

Edit: I have to take back what I said about GD cursing in docu ep 11. Our translator didn't hear correctly and we're not sure what he said in that lyric or if he said it in English or Korean. So anyway, sorry for that bit of wrong info.

yes-asia moved the release date again...which means i have to wait for my copy like forever..ugh..i'm just consoling myself that maybe it got moved again because of the overwhelming overseas demands.. Heartbreaker is like beating all the other albums which have been released a lot more earlier in yes-asia eventhough it's still on pre-order. And he's topping all online charts without any promotions yet.

I watched a clip at bbvipz last night..it's an entertainment news..they pointed out the similarity between one of the dance step in the HB MV with the MC Yoo's "grasshopper" dance...hahahaha..funny..MC Yoo did it in a comical way but GD did it in a cool and powerful way..this dance step will become popular after this...hehehehe
