I been wanting to buy a new camera. I was wondering if anyone tried or have a casio camera? and if they're any good at doing basic, very basic photography stuff.

I have the Casio Exilim ex-z600. It has 6 mgpx. It's about 2 years old.
For basic photography, it'll do. It's not GREAT but I used it for everyday picture, b-day parties, vacations, etc.

Depending on what your focus is on,
your opinion will differ. For basic uses,
Casio is fine - it autofocuses pretty well.

I don't really like Casios but if you want a basic, affordable camera, you could try Olympus.
