If you had to choose between the two, which one do you think gave you the longest amount of energy?

hot chocolate didnt really work for me. coffee, on the other hand, got me awake through all of my classes last year...and that year i had a pretty high gpa. so i would have to say coffee over hot chocolate.

Coffee...I love the smell of coffee. For me its more of a dessert drink though, I love to add lots of hazelnut creamer and sip it after dinner.

Coffee. Drinking it black or with low-fat milk and no sugar boosts your metabolic rate. Hot chocolate's more of a night-time drink, IMO.

well, when i consume a lot of caffeine, i just get sort of sleepy and drowsy. kinda funny, huh? maybe the crashing thing happens really fast or something. basically, i don't think drinking a whole bunch of coffee would do me any good. it only works when i'm trying to go to sleep. i think i'll pick hot chocolate.

It depends on who makes the coffee and hot chocolate and when. If I had to choose between a store bought nestle pack of hot chocolate and coffee....i would choose the coffee. If it is late at night, i would choose hot chocolate. If it is early in the morning, i would choose coffee. If the hot chocolate is dark bittersweet type of hot chocolate, then i would definitly pick the dark hot chocolate over coffee. The hot chocolate at starbucks is pretty good. Oh, if i had to choose between starbucks hot chocolate or their regular coffee... i would choose the hot chocolate
