Itunes Not Syncing All Songs Into Iphone 200-something synced out of 700-something, help??

Before I start, I'd like to point out I absolutely despise Apple. My iPod (16gb nano) has so many faults it makes me wonder why people like it so much (and what the hell I was thinking when I bought it)

lol I'm done ranting, here's the problem:
So my bro has an iPhone (no he wasn't dumb enough to buy it he won it tongue.gif, lol sorry for the apple-hate) and he wants to sync songs from iTunes to iPhone (why are we so handicapped without iTunes?? T___T sorry again XP)
Only 274 have synced from...I dunno how many and there's LOADS of space left. Why aren't they syncing into the iPhone??
I looked some places and one person said that the same problem happened to him, and what he did was, he reinstalled itunes, deleted all the songs from the library, put them back in and then synced. Do I really have to do that? it sounds really time-consuming, and my bro and I have different song choices, meaning we'll have to do our playlists again (which takes a long time btw).

Can anyone help?? (sorry if you're an apple fan, just felt like I had to say all that stuff)

You might not like this idea, but you can disable the auto sync then manually just drop in the songs you want. Its a bit more to do but I hate sync... Plug it into another computer and it syncs you a nice empty ipod =| annoying...
