I think it may be too early to tell, but does anyone else think that this is the first group that SM might want to try to promote to an American audience?

But f(x) sounds pretty fresh, not to mention that all the members are being promoted with English names (Sulli being the only possible exception since I'm not sure if they're trying to pass that off as a English name).

about the names, i think it may be a "majority rules" kind of thing.

amber and victoria are chinese, so letting them go under their english names is kind of like a "middle ground" as they don't have korean ones and some of the harsher netizens or whatever would react negatively to giving them some. crystal, being born in america, already had an english name to go by and may prefer it.

with three members already going under english names, it'd be a little lopsided, maybe?

and luna's real name is "sun young," (something like that, correct me if i'm wrong) there's already an actress under that name and it's another singer's real first name as well -- i think she changed it in order to avoid confusion and like crystal she may prefer it. so that would leave sulli, not "foreign" per say, but spelling it differently hedges some corners

I saw the mv teaser, and gosh they all looked pretty . especially victoria .
i didn't really like the song when i first heard it, but i kept on listening to it and i like it now. haha

Is Victoria really the leader? Has it been confirmed? Just questioning that since she is Chinese and I don't know how good her Korean is to answer questions and start conversations with the Korean media. Victoria is so beautiful! I love her smile. She looks really kind and sweet.

i just finished listening to the full song. and it's okay...i was really looking
forward to something more different. i wasn't really into the song at first,
but then i watched the 2nd teaser...and for some wierd reason...it made the
song so much better. maybe the beat is stronger in the 2nd teaser.
i can't wait to see the full mv. and as i listen to the song, i really do hear
jessica's voice. lmao. maybe it's her sister.

a lot of ppl are disappointed with the full song cuz it sounds so diff from the teaser and its so bubble gum pop or watever..but didnt SM say that they haven;t really decided on an image for f(x) yet, they wanna see wat repsonses they will get from lachata and then decide. so yeah..i think we should wait until they debut and see their talents and performance qualities before we judge too much.

YES. I think Krystal does look young...but she DOES NOT look 14. I'm 15 and I look younger than her seriously. Sulli and Luna look well over 20 to me. I think Victoria and Amber look their age.

I didn't like the song at first, but after listening to it for the second time, it really does grow on you. And I practically love it now, only thing is: it's a forgettable song (not like gee and abracadabra that get stuck in your mind like a broken record)

Seriously, what is up with that? It's not even like she's putting up a fake image or whatever since basically every fan account says that that's how she is and dresses in real life. Heck, there are even pictures. I think the double standard will never end I guess. When female artists dress too femine and cute, people complain that they're trying too hard and don't act their age. When they dress a bit more mature, people complain and think it's too sexy. Now, when Amber wants to dress more tomboyish, people complain again. The cycle never ends rofl. If male idols can look as girly as they want, then Amber can look as boyish as she wants as well. Power to her

Now for the song, it was a bit lacking. I just felt like there was something missing and it seemed like there was just one voice the majority of the time, the voice that sounds a bit like Jessica's, but deeper. I'm just going to wait for their showcase and live performances before I judge the song again. It could sound better live.

I agree about the double standard... why is it ok for the boy groups to be girly sometimes but when you get female groups that are not all dressed in pink and acting ditzy, then there is something wrong!

When was a boy group ever known as the counterpart of a girl group? ahaha, that's unfair too. When our boy members look like freaking girls we think its "so cute" but when its the opposite it's just "so wrong".

I'm listening to the song again and when i said some parts reminded me of soshi, I meant the girl that sounds like Sica too. Some how I feel like it's Luna or another member rather than Krys cause I saw her CF where she said the Romeo thing and it wasn't that soft and that was like a year or two ago when she was about 12/13 which meant her voice should be even more mature now? Well, i don't know. Does anyone know for sure who sings what part yet?
