SM Entertainment released a video clip introducing f(x), a brand new girl group that is becoming a hot topic of conversation.

On August 24th, SM Entertainment released a music video clip on their homepage website as well as on YouTube to announce the 5-person group f(x)'s debut single 'LACHATA.'

The members of the girl group f(x) are Victora, Amber, Sul Li, Luna and Krystal. Out of these members, Krystal has gained early popularity as the younger sister of Jessica from SNSD.

Born in 1994 and currently attending high school in grade 8 as an SM trainee, Krystal, while preparing for her debut, has gained much attention for being Jessica's younger sister. She also made a special appearance on the music video of SHINee's 'Juliette.'

f(x) is currently described as an 'Asian pop dance group.' Based on released video, the five members of f(x) are characterized as 'sexy and charismatic.'

SM Entertainment officials stated to Newsen, "f(x) is to debut this upcoming fall. The average age of the members is 16.6 and the group strives to promote not only within the nation, but also overseas."

Following the path of SES, Cheon Sang Ji Hee the Grace and SNSD, f(x) has gained much public interest for their potential growth as a global group.

I'm actually surprised about all of this shizz and stuff. I guess I'm just behind the news because the last thing I remember from SM, it was about the current problems that they're facing with one of their artists. Sure, I've been hearing about them months ago, but to actually see a teaser now, I was just surprised. Anyway, I don't know what to say about them yet, but I'm pretty sure that they must be one hell of a group, knowing the company's reputation for having impressive training they apply to their talents. Their concept seems in tune to today's trend [fierce/strong girl group concept] as well, but I just wish that they'd somehow bring something new to the table.

I personally just adoreeeeeee Krystal because she was in Juliette's MV.
I watched it so many times when the boys were about to release the song and her face is etched on my brain so yeah, when I saw her in the prev this morning; I FLIPPED OKAY? Gawd. And Amber, guuuuurl is srsly something. Need moar. Come on SM, bring it on wtf! >)

And methinks they won't be the new SNSD or 2NE1 or whatever since the concept's different and they're supposed to bring something different to the table, I quote
" It is a girlgroup with a concept never been done before, with a dynamic feel ".

it's not too late to debut at this time of the year. we still have more than 2 months to go to MKMF awards, and about 3 months to other awards. time is not the point. 2NE1 is considered the best/most successful rookie EVER in korean industry. they will undoubtedly sweep all the rookie awards (though they didn't look like rookie to me ). but who knows.. miracle can happen. f(x) hasn't revealed anything but a 1:14 teaser. we need more to judge. you think they won't win ANY awards this year? at least they will get some rookie of the month awards, if not rookie of the year, i bet. &how about mutizen & weekly awards? hmm they're promising.

it doesn't really matter if MKMF is only two months away, they won't get an award from MNET regardless.

It isn't trashy though. There's a difference between sexy and trashy. If 13 year old girls can dance and grind on boys during middle school dances, then it shouldn't be a problem for these 16-year-olds to dance "sexy".
