Just wondering, how many of you have sent something back while eating out? Personally, I've only had to send back an overdressed salad and a set of shrimp dumplings that had a dead cockroach steamed within them! I also had a time I questioned my waiter because the grilled vegetables tasted like they were frozen, and pre-grilled for weeks.

Most people I know are not too picky about their food, and don't really send it back. How about you guys? Your experiences?

I have sent back a fish which I thought wasn't cooked because it looked a little pinkish compared to the ones that my cousins got.It turned out that it was cooked according to the chef.

I've also returned beef when I ordered chicken because I can't eat beef.If it had been fish or pork,I would have eaten it unless I went there to specifically eat chicken.

My dad sent back a bowl of noodles with a huge dead housefly in it.

I was at a KFC in Taiwan and they gave me the squid+roe wrap instead of the chicken one.

It sucked, because I took a bite and I'm allergic to seafood. Luckily I only ate the wrap part.

Just recently I had to send back a plate of pasta coz it had a burnt smell.
the pasta wasn't burnt .. I think the last thing they cooked was burnt
and the cook didn't wash or clean the pan properly

yea my family had to send a dish back when we found a strand of hair in it; but I think the chef just took his time reheating the food so it looked like he cooked another dish for us >.>

I think I've sent back at least one dish before because they had meat in them, (I'm vegetarian) but that's all I can think of. Thankfully I've never found insects or hair in my food

My family doesn't send back food unless its something they haven't ordered. If it tastes bad we don't go to that restaurant again xD.

I've only sent back once. I ordered chicken but the waiter gave me beef.
Luckily, I haven't had any disgusting stuffs in my food (hair, bugs etc) or had undercooked/overcooked food.

I've sent back a drink that I ordered at the Keg, because it had a bug in it of some sort. then they gave me another one, and there was another bug in it, and then they came and took it and told me what else would I like, and i ordered something else, and then they said that they'll give us all free desserts.
To me i thought they should've given us the whole meal for free, it was disgusting, not once but twice in a row I got a bug in my drink, and it wasn't small either.

I sent food at fastfood restaurants back.

McDonalds - I asked for no ranch but they put ranch. so I got to keep the ranch one and get a no ranch one. SNACKWRAP <3

Taco bell or del taco.. I forget - I asked for chicken quesadilla and they gave me cheese. but they threw away the cheese one D:

I ordered a chicken sandwich from Applebee's and the bun was moldy and I was thinking wth how could that get by the chef?

They gave me free meal and dessert.

I ordered a tuna burger once, medium rare, but it came out all burnt O.o...so i had to return it, but they were nice about it. Personally, I hate returning food because I just vow never to go there again. It's like wearing a shirt and then returning it....sort of

...maybe...not really...well, anyway, I just dislike returning food

I haven't yet and hope I don't have to in the future, but my friend has. We were eating dinner at T.G.I. Fridays and she ordered some pasta dish and it had hair in it

Luckily, no. I have quite a knack for ordering great dishes. I've not yet ordered anything that tasted bad.Of course, I also avoid eating at dirty/dodgy-looking restaurants.
