I don't know if this is already a topic but can asian phones be used in the us? is there a sim card? i think phones from asia are a lot better then the ones here.

Most newer models, yes. My current phone is the Softbank 707 SC II. It's software unlocked, which, in order to use say, a Japanese phone like mine is, you will need to either buy it already unlocked, get it unlocked after you buy it, or buy a HyperSIM for it.
Depending on what kind of phone you're looking for, I know many, many, newer Docomo models work perfectly find over here with a HyperSIM. Just remember that a lot of the features that make Japanese phones so cool, like TV, radio, MMS, etc etc, will not be of use to you here. Even basic internet capabilities will no longer work when used in this country.
