I just went to T&T Asian Supermarket to pick up some groceries. Tomorrow is a special day since I have a friend who just so happens to be of the female persuasion coming over to my place for din din.
This is actually one of my friends from my badminton team and this girl is the sickest badminton player on the planet.
I'm not just saying that cause I have a crush on her... she's really really hella technical and basically shows no mercy when it comes to smashing the john teshin hello kitty out of shuttlecocks.

My plan is to make her my famous Shinramyun ramen as the main course with rice rolls as an appetizer.
For desert I'm thinking of Ben & Jerry's ice cream followed with lemon sponge cake.
To the girls: If you were coming over and I made this stuff would it be cool? I'm not that great of a cook so I really can't cook 5 course meals. I also don't want to take her out to a restaurant. I wanna do something different for a change because whenever I try too hard to impress a girl it just goes to smithereenes.

Ya man, shin ramen is the "bomb". You don't even need to have 5-star cooking to produce a good cup of noodles.
100% awesome. Just don't prepare it in front of her.

Hehe, your crush sounds awesome.

That meal seems impressive. However, unless there's some meat in the ramen or rice rolls or she's a vegetarian, put some meat up in thurrrr.

Haha I agree w/o one of the posters. Make shinramyun, just don't let her watch you cook it!
Otherwise, that's like...total and utter embarrassment rofl.

Ramen as a main course? Rethink your priorities!

Sounds good to me, heck I'd be happy with the ramen alone. Ice cream is just the bonus lol

It's the thought that counts.
5 minutes spent on cooking means 55 minutes left to enjoy the meal.

I personally take 15 minutes just to prepare a pot of instant ramen. Of course, any logical person would think "why is someone taking 15 minutes on INSTANT foods?"

^ Same same. It takes me like 10 minutes to make ramen, not 5.. Unless you like your noodles hard.

And traditionally guys don't really know how to cook, plus, it's not like you dated your boyfriend purposely to be impressed...

Thought usually dictate consideration and affection.

If it takes you 15 minutes to prepare instant ramen I think you can spare some extra time and buy some noodles and cook it in broth with vegetables, mushrooms, and fry some spam and egg on top.
