I was just wondering what are some reasons people break up?


For me, the guy was to clingy and I didn't really even like him.

It was a relationship of convenience that stopped being convenient. It started out as casual dating to kill time, and after a couple of months it stopped being fun for either of us. I wanted a more serious relationship with someone I could really care about and my ex wanted to go out, party and sow oats.

My ex was a bunch of negative things. He was a great boyfriend, for the most part... but he smothered me. Never let me see or speak to my friends, either. I ended up slowly losing interest in him, thus seeing my friends without him knowing.
Got really close to one of them, decided I liked him more than my ex. Technically ended up cheating on the guy with my current boyfriend... but whatever, I don't regret it.

My father didn't approve, and i didn't want to deal with having to break up with him, so I started being really uh... "witchy." to him, and we just drifted our separate ways.

He ended up dating a prettier upperclassman, and bought her a dslr.

I felt like we were still on a "friend" level.
We didn't break the wall between us.

& I had to "mother" him.
& I didn't get the same effort that I put in him, back.
He was by far, the worst boyfriend.

We barely talked.
A conversation never lasted.
He'd ignore me in front of his friends, so on.
Made me feel like he only wanted me for sex.

the reason i broke up with him was because i fell in love with someone else, who i've been friends with for a very long time. but i don't regret breaking up with him. i'm much more happier (: he already has another girl already.
